और जब(cid:4)क क(cid:12) (cid:13)ीय सरकार संतु(cid:21) है (cid:4)क देश म(cid:12) इसके दु-पयोग को जनिहत म(cid:12) रोकने के िलए उ. औषध के िनमा/ण, िब12 व िवतरण को िविनयिमत व 4ितबंिधत करना आव6यक और उिचत है।

का क2 धारा क ;ारा 4द< शि.य% का 4योग करते =ए एतद््;ारा यह िनद>श देती है (cid:4)क औषध ऑ(cid:28)सीटोिसन को उ. अिधिनयम
व इसके अंतग/त बनाए गए िनयम% म(cid:12) अ?त@व(cid:21) उपबंध% के अितAर. नीचे िविनBद(cid:21) (cid:4)कए गए ढंग से िब12 अथवा
संिवतरण अथवा बेचने के िलए िविन@मत (cid:4)कया जाएगा, अथा/त् :—
1945
1. ब(cid:6)क ऑ(cid:28)सीटोिसन औषध के िनमा/ता औषध एवं 4साधन साम:ी िनयम, के अंतग/त उ. औषध के सूEीकरण% (फामू /लेशन%) के िनमा/ण के िलए के वल लाइस(cid:12)सशुदा िनमा/ताG को ही इस (cid:4)1याशील भेषजीय औषध क2 आपू@त कर(cid:12)गे।
2. पशु-िच(cid:4)क"सीय उपयोग के िलए अिभ4ेत औषध योग% को के वल पशु-िच(cid:4)क"सा के अ#पताल% को ही बेचा जाएगा।
यह आदेश सरकारी राजपE म(cid:12) इसके 4काशन क2 तारीख से ही लागू हो जाएगा।

New Delhi, the 17th January, 2014
G.S.R. 29(E).—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the drug Oxytocin has a definite therapeutic use in certain medical conditions;
And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that it is necessary and expedient to regulate and restrict the manufacture, sale and distribution of the said drug in the country to prevent its misuse in public interest.
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 26A of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), the Central Government hereby directs that the drug oxytocin shall be manufactured for sale or for distribution or sold in the manner specified below, in addition to the provisions contained in the said Act and Rules made thereunder, namely :—
1. The manufacturers of bulk oxytocin drug shall supply the active pharmaceutical drug only to the manufacturers licensed under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 for manufacture of formulations of the said drug.
2. The formulations meant for veterinary use shall be sold to the veterinary hospitals only.
The order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
