काकाकाका....आआआआ.... 206206206206(अअअअ)....—के न्(cid:4)ीय सरकार, राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग अधिनियम, 1956 (1956 का 48) की धारा 5 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते (cid:29)ए, भारत सरकार एतद््द्वारा निद(cid:31)श देती है कि इसके साथ संलग्न तािलका के कालम (2) में व+णत प्रत्येक राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग से संबंधित काय0 का निष्पादन करने के संबंध में प्रत्येक राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के सामने तालिका के कालम (3) में विनिर्धारित कार्य इस शर्त के अध्यधीन राज्य सरकारों द्वारा पूरे किए जाएंगे कि संबंधित राज्य सरकार उक्त अधिनियम के अधीन वतर्मान में लागू नियमों का अनुपालन करने के लिए ऐसे काय0 को करने के लिए बाध्य होंगी और उस प्रयोजनार्थ तत्कालीन पोत परिवहन, सड़क परिवहन और
राजमार्ग मंत्रालय (सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग विभाग), की अधिसूचना सं. का.आ. 1096 (अ), तारीख 4 अगस्त, 2005 में एतद््द्वारा निम्निलिखत और संशोधन करती है, अर्थात्:—
उक्त अधिसूचना की अनुसूची में, Aम सं. 16 तथा उससे संबंधित प्रविष्टियों के स्थान पर निम्निलिखत प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगा, अर्थात्:—

| "16 | राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग सं. 40 [किमी 0.000 से किमी 61.800 जोरबाट – िशलांग (बारापानी) तक खंड को छोड़कर], सं. 44, [(किमी 69.200 से किमी 173.200 (जोवई से मेघालय और असम सीमा) तक खंड को छोड़कर], सं. 51, सं. 62 और िशलांग बाइपास को छोड़कर [किमी 61.800 (रारा-40) से किमी 34.850 (रारा-44) और नई रारा सं और नई रारा सं. . . . 127 और नई रारा सं और नई रारा सं 127बीबीबीबी के उतने भाग जो मेघालय राज् य में अवस् िथत हैं । 127127 | मेघालय राज् य सरकार" । |

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd January, 2014
S.O. 206(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby directs that the functions in relation to the execution of works pertaining to each of the National Highways described in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be exercisable by the State Government specified in column (3) of the Table against each highway subject to the condition that the State Government concerned shall in the exercise of such functions be bound to comply with the rules for the time being in force under the said Act and for that purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways (Department of Road Transport and Highways) number S.O. 1096(E), dated the 4th August, 2005, namely:—
In the said notification, in the Schedule, for serial number 16 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:—

| "16 | So much of National Highways No. 40 [excluding from Km. 0.000 to Km. 61.800 of Jorabat - Shillong (Barapani) section], No.44 [excluding from km. 69.200 to km. 173.200 (Jowai to Meghalaya and Assam Border Section)], No. 51, No. 62 and also excluding Shillong bypass [from Km. 61.800 (NH-40) to Km. 34.850 (NH-44)] and new NH No. 127B as are situated within the State of Meghalaya. | State Government of Meghalaya". |
