New Delhi, the 23rd January, 2014

S.O. 238 (E) .—Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that Coal is likely to be obtained from the land in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto ;

And Whereas, the plan bearing number MCL/GM(BA)/Baitarani East Block/2013/02, dated the 11h September, 2013 containing the area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the General Manager (L/R&R), Mahanadi Coalfields limited, Jagruti Vihar, Burla, District Sambalpur-768020 (Odisha) or at the office of the Coal Controller, 1, Council House Street, Kolkata – 700 001 or at the office of the Collector and the District Magistrate, District Angul (Odisha) ;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal in the land described in the aforesaid Schedule;

Any person interested in the land described in the aforesaid Schedule may-

(i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 thereof; or

(ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting license ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act,

to the General Manager (L/R&R), Mahanadi Coalfields limited, Jagruti Vihar, Burla, District Sambalpur-768020 (Odisha) within ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

C-D-E : The line CDE passing through Village Chhendipada Reserve Forest towards West direction and meet at point "D" in the same Village and the same block boundary line meet at point "E" in the village Chhendipada Reserve Forest.

E-F-G-H : The line EFGH passing through Village Chhendipada Reserve Forest towards East direction and meet at point "F" and same the line meet at point "H" through point "G" in the village Chhendipada Reserve Forest .

H-I : The line HI passing through in Village Chhendipada Reserve Forest towards West direction and meet at point "I" in the plot No. 5546 of the village Chhendipada Jungle.

I-J-A : The line IJA starts at point "I" in the plot no. 5546 of Village Chhendipada jungle and passing in the north direction through point "J" at plot No. 3467 and meet at point ''A'' in the plot no. 2382 of Village Chhendipada Jungle.
