The Central Govt. hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Petroleum and Natural Gas Rules (P&NG), 1959, These rules may be called the Petroleum and Natural Gas (Amendment) Rules 2014.

सा.का.िन. सा.का.िन. सा.का.िन. सा.का.िन. 874874874874(अ)(अ)(अ)(अ).— तेल क्षेत्र (विनियमन और विकास) अधिनियम, 1948 (1948 का 53) की उप-धारा 5 और 6 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते %ए, के न्( सरकार एत)ारा पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृ तिक गैस नियम (पीए-डएनजी), 1959 में और संशोधन करके निम्निलिखत िनयम बनाती है:-

1. (1) इन नियमों को पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृ तिक गैस (संशोधन) नियम, 2014 कहा जाएगा।

(2) ये नियम सरकारी राजपत्र में उनके प्रकाशन की तारीख से लागू होंगे।

2. पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृ तिक गैस नियम, 1959 (इसके पश्चात् इन्हें उक्त नियम कहा जाएगा) में, क्षेत्र शब्द के बाद परंतुक खंड के नीचे िनयम 12 में निम्निलिखत को जोड़ा जाएगा:-

New Delhi, the 13th November, 2014

G.S.R 874(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections 5 and 6 of the oilfields (Regulation and Development) Act, 1948 (53 of 1948), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Petroleum and Natural Gas Rules (P&NG), 1959:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Petroleum and Natural Gas (Amendment) Rules 2014.

(2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in Official Gazette.

2. In the Petroleum and Natural Gas Rules, 1959 (hereinafter to be referred as said rules), in Rule12 under the proviso clause after the word area the following will be added:-
