और जबकि, के न्* सरकार को प्रतीत होता है कि इसकी जांच करना और इस गंभीर घटना के कारकों एवं मुख्य सहायक कारकों को सुनि2ित करना और ऐसी सिफारिशें करना समीचीन है ताकि भविष्य में इस तरह की घटनाओं की पुनरावृत्ति से बचा जा सके ।
अब, के न्* सरकार वायुयान (घटनाओं और दुर्घटनाओं की जांच) िनयमावली, 2012 के िनयम 11(1) द्वारा प्रदत्त
र्क्त गंभीर घटना की औपचारिक जांच किए जाने का निदेश देती है।
शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते ?ए एतद्द्वारा उपयु
के न्* सरकार ने निम्नलिखित सदस्यों सहित Dी मुके श, उप प्रमुख, उड़ान संरक्षा, इंडिगो एअरलाइन की अध्यक्षता में एक जांच समिति नियुक्त की है:—
(i) Dी राजे भटनागर, सहायक िनदेशक (एडब्ल्यू), एएआईबी
(ii) Dी के . रामचन्*न, हवाई संरक्षा अधिकारी, एएआईबी
समिति आवश्यकतानुसार अन्य विशेषMों/एजेंसियों की सहायता भी लेगी।
समिति का मुख्यालय नई दिल्ली में होगा।
सिमित अपनी जांच-पड़ताल पूरी कर इसकी रिपोर्ट के न्* सरकार को तीन महीने के भीतर सुपुर्द करेगी।

New Delhi, the 8th December, 2014
S.O. 3185(E).—Whereas M/s. Air India Ltd., Airbus A320 aircraft VT-ESI was involved in a serious incident at Cochin on 21.08.2014 while carrying out a scheduled flight AI-047 from Cochin to Delhi.
And whereas, it appears to the Central Government that it is expedient to investigate and determine the causes and contributory factors leading to the serious incident and make recommendations to avoid recurrence of such serious incidents in future.
Now, in the exercise of the powers conferred by the Rules 11(1) of the Aircraft (Investigation of Accidents and Incidents) Rules, 2012, the Central Government hereby directs that a formal inquiry of the said serious incident be held.
The Central Government is pleased to appoint a Committee of Inquiry headed by Shri Mukesh, Dy. Chief of Flight Safety, Indigo Airlines, with the following members:
(i) Shri Raje Bhatnagar, Asst. Director, (AW), AAIB
(ii) Shri K. Ramachandran, Air Safety Officer, AAIB
The Committee will also take the assistance of other experts/agencies whenever required.
The headquarters of the Committee will be at New Delhi.
The Committee will complete its inquiry and submit its report to the Central Government preferably within three months.
