S.O. 4099(E).— Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from the land in the locality mentioned in the Schedule annexed hereto;

And, whereas, the plan bearing number OMC/PROJ/Sec-4/16/04, dated the 8th November, 2016 containing the details of the area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the Chief General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Gondwana Palace, Kanke Road, Ranchi- 834031, Jharkhand or at the office of the Coal Controller, 1, Council House Street, Kolkata-700001 or at the Office of the Collector, District Angul, Odisha or at the Office of the Chief General Manager (Mining) Odisha Mining Corporation Limited, OMC House, Bhubaneswar-751001 (Odisha) or at the Office of the Regional Manager, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited, Baitarni-West Coal Project, At: Bhubanpur (near Pitabali Temple), Post Office – Parang, District - Angul, Odisha.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal in the land described in the said Schedule;

Any persons interested in the land described in the said Schedule may –

(i) object to the acquisition of the whole or any part of the land, or of any rights in or over such land; or

(ii) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 thereof; or

(iii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting licenses ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section 13 of the said Act,

to the Office of the Chief General Manager (Mining), Odisha Mining Corporation Limited, OMC House, Bhubaneswar-751001 (Odisha) or at the Office of the Regional Manager, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited, Baitarni-West Coal Project, At: Bhubanpur (near Pitabali Temple), Post Office Parang, District - Angul, Odisha, within a period of ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

(1) Line 1-8: The line starts at Point-1 in the north-west corner of the coal-block, near the south side of Chhendipada-Bagadia Road, trends in southerly direction in Podapada village and reaches Point-8 near the northern end of Handigoda village.

(2) Line 8-13: The line starts from Point-8 and trends towards south-west direction in Handigoda village and reaches Point-13 in Handigoda village.

(3) Line 13-14: The line starts from Point-13, trends in the south-westerly direction and reaches Point-14 in Handigoda village.

(4) Line 14-16: The line starts from Point-14, trends in the easterly direction and reaches Point-16 in Handigoda village.
