New Delhi, the 28th December, 2016

S.O. 4195(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (37 of 1970) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Labour and Employment number S.O. 2821(E) dated the 5th November, 2014 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii),except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such suppression, the Central Government hereby appoints the officers specified in column (2) of the Table below, being the Gazetted Officers, to be registering officers for the purpose of the said Act and the said officers shall exercise the powers conferred on them by or under the said Act, within the limits of the jurisdiction specified in column (3) of the said Table.
