NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th December, 2016
S.O. 4215(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Seeds Act, 1966 (Act 54 of 1966), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation dated the 5th November, 2005, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) dated the 5th November, 2005 vide S.O. No. 1567 (E), except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, after consultation with the Central Seed Committee hereby specifies the gene purity in terms of transgene Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt.) and minimum level of Bt. Toxin for Separate Pack (SP) and Refugia in Bag (RIB) in cotton seed lots for labeling of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) genes in cotton seed, as follows:-
