S.O. 9(E).—In pursuance of sub-rule (1) of rule 4A of the Forest (Conservation) Rules, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), the Central Government hereby re-constitutes the Regional Empowered Committee at Regional Office, North Eastern Zone, Shillong (hereinafter referred to as the Regional Empowered Committee) to exercise the powers and perform the functions specified therein, comprising of the following Members, namely: -

2. The officers mentioned below of the States specified hereunder, shall be invited to attend meetings of the Regional Empowered Committee as special invitees, in the examination of the proposals pertaining to diversion of forest land in their respective States, namely:-
