आ. अ. 2 (अ).—यतः, पंािब रा(cid:6996)य क(cid:7409) 2-अमृतसर संसदीय नर्ना(cid:6981)चन (cid:6979)े(cid:7074) से लोक सभा म(cid:7286) नर्ना(cid:6981)नचत कै (cid:7009)टन अम(cid:7411)रदर (cid:7410)सह क(cid:7409) सीट उनके (cid:7004)याग प(cid:7074) देने के ल(cid:7021र्)(cid:7272)प 23 र्न(cid:7013)बर, 2016 को (cid:7407)र(cid:7334) हो चुक(cid:7409) है; और
यतः, इस (cid:7079)कार (cid:7263)ई (cid:7407)रन(cid:7334) को भरने के उ(cid:7374)े(cid:7019)य से एक उप-नर्ना(cid:6981)चन आयोनति कर्राया ािना हैः-
अब, इसनलए, लोक (cid:7079)नतनननध(cid:7004र्) अनधननयम, 1951(1951 का 43) क(cid:7409) धारा 149 क(cid:7409) उपधारा(1) और धारा 30 र्एं 56 के अनुसरण म(cid:7286) भारत नर्ना(cid:6981)चन आयोग एत(cid:7374र्)ारा नन(cid:7388)नलनखत ननयत करता है-
(अ) पंािब रा(cid:6996)य म(cid:7286) 2- अमृतसर संसदीय नर्ना(cid:6981)चन (cid:6979)े(cid:7074) से यह अपे(cid:6979)ा करता है (cid:7408)क उ(cid:7334) अनधननयम और इसके अंतग(cid:6981)त बने ननयम(cid:7298) र्एं (cid:7408)कए गए आदे(cid:7298) के अनुसार, लोक सभा म(cid:7286) उ(cid:7334) (cid:7407)रन(cid:7334) को भरने के उ(cid:7374)े(cid:7019)य से एक (cid:7390)न(cid:7334) को 15 माच(cid:6981), 2017 (बुर्धार) से पहले नर्ना(cid:6981)नचत कर (cid:7408)दया ािए;
(आ) उ(cid:7334) नर्ना(cid:6981)चन के संबंध म(cid:7286) नन(cid:7388)नलनखत ननधा(cid:6981)(cid:7407)रत करता हैः-
(i) नामांकन भरने क(cid:7409) अंनतम तारीख- 18 र्निरी, 2017(बुर्धार);
(ii) नामांकन(cid:7298) क(cid:7409) र्संी(cid:6979)ा-क(cid:7409) तारीख 19 र्निरी, 2017(गु(cid:7271र्)ार);
(iii) अ(cid:7012)य(cid:7414)ताएँर् ानपस लेने क(cid:7409) अंनतम तारीख- 21 र्निरी, 2017(नर्नार);
(iv) मतदान, य(cid:7408)द र्आ(cid:7019)यक (cid:7263)आ, आयोनति
(cid:7408)कए ािने क(cid:7409) तारीख- 04 र्ररी, 2017(नर्नार); और 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(iii)] (इ) 8.00 बेि र्पूा(cid:6981)(cid:7022)न से 5.00 बेि अपरा(cid:7022)न तक का समय ऐसे समय के (cid:7272)प म(cid:7286) ननधा(cid:6981)(cid:7407)रत (cid:7408)कया ािता है नसिके दौरान, य(cid:7408)द र्आ(cid:7019)यक (cid:7263)आ तो ऊपर नन(cid:7416)द(cid:7397) तारीख को मतदान होगा।

ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 11th January, 2017
O.N. 2 (E).— WHEREAS, the seat of Captain Amarinder Singh, in the House of People elected from 2-Amritsar Parliamentary Constituency, in the State of Punjab, has become vacant on 23rd November, 2016 by the reason of his resignation; and
WHEREAS, a bye-election is to be held for the purpose of filling the vacancy so caused;-
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of sub-sections (1) of Section 149, and Section 30 and 56 of the Representation of People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India hereby-
(A) calls upon the said 2-Amritsar Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Punjab to elect, before the 15th March, 2017 (Wednesday) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a person for the purpose of filling the said vacancy in the House of the People;
(B) appoints, with respect to said election :-
i. the 18th January 2017 (Wednesday), as the last date for making nominations;
ii. the 19th January, 2017 (Thursday), as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;
iii. the 21st January, 2017 (Saturday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
iv. the 4th February, 2017 (Saturday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and v. the 15th March, 2017 (Wednesday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and (B) fixes the hours from 8.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M., as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the date specified above, for the election.
