और बि(cid:7408)क, के (cid:7008)(cid:7076) सरकार ने असम रा(cid:6996)य म(cid:7286) नाग(cid:7407)रक(cid:7298) का रा(cid:7020)(cid:7069)ीय रन(िcid:7021)टर, 1951 अ(cid:7378)तन करने का ननण(cid:6981)य नलया है ;

और बि(cid:7408)क, महारन(िcid:7021)(cid:7069)ार, नाग(cid:7407)रक रन(िcid:7021)(cid:7069)ीकरण ने (cid:7408)दनांक 6 (cid:7408)दस(cid:7013)बर, 2013 क(cid:7409) अनधसूचना सं(cid:6990)या का.आ. 3591(अ) के मा(cid:7007)यम से अनधसूनचत (cid:7408)कया है (cid:7408)क असम रा(cid:6996)य के संबंध म(cid:7286) गणना उ(cid:6989)त अनधसूचना के (cid:7079)कान क(cid:7409) तारीख से (cid:7079)ार(cid:7013)भ होगी और तीनर् ष(cid:6981) क(cid:7409) र्अनध के भीतर पूरी कर ली ािए;

और बि(cid:7408)क, असम रा(cid:6996)य म(cid:7286) उ(cid:6989)त गणना उ(cid:6989)त अनधसूचना म(cid:7286) र्ननन(cid:7416)द(cid:7020)ट र्अनध के भीतर पूरी नह(cid:7277) क(cid:7409) ाि सक(cid:7409);

और बि(cid:7408)क, असम सरकार ने असम रा(cid:6996)य म(cid:7286) गणना पूरी करने के नलए और समय के नलए अनुरोध (cid:7408)कया है (cid:6989)य(cid:7298)(cid:7408)क उ(cid:6989)त ननयर्माली क(cid:7409) अनुसूची म(cid:7286) र्ननन(cid:7416)द(cid:7020)ट स(cid:7004)यापन (cid:7079)(cid:7408)(cid:7059)या चल रही है;

के अनध(cid:7059)मण म(cid:7286) महारन(िcid:7021)(cid:7069)ार, नाग(cid:7407)रक रन(िcid:7021)(cid:7069)ीकरण, उन बात(cid:7298) के नर्साय अनध(cid:7059)ांत करते (cid:7263)ए, न(िcid:7008)ह(cid:7286) ऐसे अनध(cid:7059)मण से र्पू(cid:6981)

(cid:7408)कया गया है या (cid:7408)कए ािने का लोप (cid:7408)कया गया है, यह अनधसूनचत करते ह(cid:7289) (cid:7408)क असम रा(cid:6996)य के संबंध म(cid:7286) गणना 31 माच(cid:6981), 2017

को समा(cid:7009)त होनेर् ाली र्अनध के भीतर पूण(cid:6981) कर ली ािएगी।

ORDER

New Delhi, the 12th January, 2016

S.O. 119(E).—WHEREAS, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 18 of the Citizenship Act, 1955 (57 of 1955), the Central Government framed the Citizenship (Registration of Citizens and Issue of National Identity Cards) Rules, 2003 (hereafter referred to as the said rules), which provides under sub-rule (3) of rule 4A that the Registrar General of Citizens Registration shall notify the period and duration of the enumeration in the Official Gazette;

AND WHEREAS, the Central Government decided to update the National Register of Citizens, 1951 in the state of Assam;

AND WHEREAS, the Registrar General of Citizens Registrations has, vide notification number S.O. 3591(E), dated the 6th December, 2013 notified that the enumeration in respect of the State of Assam shall take place from the date of publication of that notification and be completed within a period of three years;

AND WHEREAS, the said enumeration in the State of Assam could not be completed within the period specified in the said notification;

AND WHEREAS, the Government of the State of Assam has requested more time for completion of enumeration in the State of Assam as the verification process specified in the Schedule to the said rules is in progress;

AND WHEREAS, the Central Government has considered it necessary and expedient in the public interest to allow the State Government of Assam to complete the said enumeration in the State by the 31st day of March, 2017.

Now, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of the sub-rule (3) of rule 4A of the Citizenship (Registration of Citizens and Issue of National Identity cards) Rules, 2003 and in supersession of the said notification number S.O. 3591(E), dated the 6th December, 2013, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Registrar General of Citizens Registration hereby notifies that the enumeration in respect of the State of Assam shall be completed within the period ending on the 31st day of March, 2017.
