सा. का. नि. 599 (अ) के न्(cid:7076)ीय सरकार गर्भधारण पूर्व तथा प्रसव पूर्व नैदानिक तकनीक (लिंग चयन निषेध) अधिनियम, 1994 (1994 का 57) की धारा 32 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, गर्भधारण पूर्व और प्रसव- पूर्व नैदानिक तकनीक (लिंग चयन का निषेध) नियम,1996 में निम्न संशोधन के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है अर्थात,
1. (1) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम गर्भधारण पूर्व और प्रसव पूर्व नैदानिक तकनीक (लिंग चयन निषेध) संशोधन नियम, 2017 है।
(2) ये राजपत्र मे प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे।
2. गर्भधारण पूर्व तथा प्रसव पूर्व नैदानिक तकनीक (लिंग चयन निषेध) नियम, 1996 के नियम 5 में उप नियम (1) में, इस नियम के बाद निम्नलिखित परंतुक को जोड़ा जाएगा, नामत:-
''परंतु आगे यह कि किसी भी स्वास्थ्य तथा चिकित्सा सेवा प्रदान कराने वाले सरकारी संस्थान को पंजीकरण अथवा पंजीकरण के नवीनीकरण हेतु अपेक्षित शुल्क का भुगतान करने की आवश्यकता नह(cid:7277) होगी।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 19th June, 2017
G.S.R. 599 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 32 of the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 (57 of 1994), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments to the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Rules, 1996, namely :-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Amendment Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Rules, 1996, in rule 5, in sub rule (1), after the proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
"Provided further that no government institution which provides health and medical services shall be required to pay fee for registration and renewal of registration".
