No. 56/2017–Customs
G.S.R. 797(E).—WHEREAS the Central Government on being satisfied that the import duty leviable on articles and parts thereof, of goods, falling under headings 8443 and 8517 respectively of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), should be increased and that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action.
NOW, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 8A of the said Customs Tariff Act, the Central Government, hereby directs that the First Schedule to the said Customs Tariff Act, shall be amended in the following manner, namely:-
In the First Schedule to the said Customs Tariff Act, in Section XVI, -
(i) in Chapter 84, against tariff items 8443 32 90, 8443 99 51, 8443 99 52, 8443 99 53; and (ii) in Chapter 85, against tariff items 8517 12 10, 8517 12 90, 8517 61 00, 8517 70 90, for the entry in column (4), the entry "10%" shall be substituted.
2. This notification shall come into force with effect from the 1st day of July, 2017.

G.S.R. 798(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts the goods of the description as specified in column (3) of the Table below, as the case may be, and falling within the Chapter, heading, sub-heading or tariff item of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) as are specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Table, when imported into India, from so much of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the said First Schedule as is in excess of the amount calculated at the standard rate as specified in the corresponding entry in column (4) of the said Table subject to any of the conditions, as specified in the Annexure to this notification, the condition number of which is mentioned in the corresponding entry in column (5) of the said Table.

G.S.R. 799(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 24/2005-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2005, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 122(E), dated the 1st March, 2005, namely :-
In the said notification, in the Table,-
(i) for serial number 2 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from the 1st day of July, 2017.
