आ.अ. 52(अ).—यतः, भारत के राष्ट्रपति ने लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 12 के अधीन जारी और तारीख 4 जुलाई, 2017 को भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकाशित अधिसूचना द्वारा गोवा राज्य की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से यह अपेक्षा की है कि वे राज्य सभा के लिए एक सदस्य निर्वाचित कर दें;

अतः, अब उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 39 की उप-धारा (1) और धारा 56 के अनुसरण में भारत निर्वाचन आयोग एतद् द्वारा:—

(अ) उक्त निर्वाचन के संबंध में निम्नलिखित निर्धारित करता है.—

(क) नाम निर्देशित करने की अन्तिम तारीख

- 11 जुलाई 2017 (मंगलवार) (ख) नाम निर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीख

- 12 जुलाई 2017 (बुधवार)

(ग) अभ्यथिताएं वापस लेने की अंतिम तारीख - 14 जुलाई 2017 (शुक्रवार)

(घ) वह तारीख, जिसको यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो मतदान होगा, - 21 जुलाई 2017 (शुक्रवार)

(ड.) वह तारीख जिससे पूर्व निर्वाचन सम्पन्न करा लिया जाएगा - 24 जुलाई 2017 (सोमवार), और (आ) 9.00 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 4.00 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय, ऐसे समय के रूप में नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो, उक्त विनिदिष्ट तारीख को, मतदान होगा।

ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA

New Delhi, the 4th July, 2017

O.N. 52(E).—Whereas, the President of India has, by notification issued under section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette of India on 4th July, 2017, has been pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of Goa, to elect 1 (one) member to the Council of States;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 39 and section 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission of India hereby—

(A) appoints, with respect to the said election;

(a) the 11th July, 2017 (Tuesday), as the last date for making nominations;

(b) the 12th July, 2017 (Wednesday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations;

(c) the 14th July, 2017 (Friday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;

(d) the 21st July, 2017 (Friday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and (e) the 24th July, 2017 (Monday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and (B) fixes the hours from 9.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M., as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken in all the above mentioned States on the date specified above for the election.

आ.अ. 53(अ).—लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 21 के अनुसरण में एवं उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 22 की उपधारा (1) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों को प्रयोग करते हुए, भारत निर्वाचन आयोग गोवा राज्य सरकार के परामर्श से 4 जुलाई, 2017 को भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकाशित आयोग की अधिसूचना के अनुसरण में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले द्विवाषिक निर्वाचन के संबंध में एतद् द्वारा:—

(i) नीचे की सारणी के स्तंभ (1) में विनिदिष्ट अधिकारी को रिटनिग ऑफिसर के रूप में पदाभिहित करता है, तथा

(ii) उक्त सारणी के स्तंभ (2) में विनिदिष्ट अधिकारी को रिटनिग ऑफिसर के कृ त्यों के निष्पादन में सहायता के लिए, सहायक रिटनिग ऑफिसर के रूप में नियुक्त करता है;

O.N. 53(E).—In pursuance of section 21, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 22, of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India, in consultation with the Government of Goa, hereby—

(i) designates the officer, specified in the corresponding entry in column (1) of the said TABLE to be the Returning Officer; and

(ii) appoints the officer, specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Table, to be the Assistant Returning Officer to assist the Returning Officer in the performance of his functions;

in respect of the biennial election to the Council of States, to be held in that State in pursuance of the Notification of the President of India, published in the Gazette of India on 4th July, 2017: —
