सा.का.नि. 510 (अ).—के न्द्रीय सरकार, भारतीय तार अधिनियम, 1885 (1885 का 13) की धारा 7 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, भारतीय तार नियमावली, 1951 को और संशोधित करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है,अर्थात्:-
1. (1) इन नियमों को भारतीय तार (चतुर्थ संशोधन) नियमावली, 2021 कहा जाए।
(2) ये नियम सरकारी राजपत्र में प्रकाशित होने की तारीख से लागू होंगे।
2. भारतीय तार नियमावली, 1951 में,-
(i) नियम 525 के , उप-नियम (2) के , खंड (v) में मद (ढ) के बाद निम्नलिखित मदों को शामिल किया जाएगा अर्थात्:-
"(ण) मुख्यभूमि (कोच्चि) और लक्षद्वीप द्वीप समूह के मध्य समुद्री (सबमरीन) ऑप्टिकल फाइबर के बल कनेक्टिविटी के प्रावधान हेतु पू ंजीगत व्यय का वहन परियोजना निष्पादन एजेंसी के रूप में भारत संचार निगम लिमिटेड द्वारा किया जाना है, जिसे सार्वभौमिक सेवा दायित्व निधि द्वारा वित्त पोषित किया जाएगा।";
(ii) नियम 526 में "खंड (v) के मदों (क), (ख), (ग), (घ), (ड.), (च), (छ), (ज), (झ), (ञ), (ट), (ठ), (ड) और (ढ)" के शब्दों, कोष्ठकों और वर्णों को "खंड (v) के मदों (क), (ख), (ग), (घ), (ड.), (च), (छ), (ज), (झ), (ञ), (ट), (ठ), (ड), (ढ) और (ण)" के शब्दों, कोष्ठकों और वर्णों से प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगा।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th July, 2021
G.S.R. 510(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 (13 of 1885), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Telegraph Rules, 1951, namely: -
1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Telegraph (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2021.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Indian Telegraph Rules, 1951, -
(i) in rule 525, in sub-rule (2), in clause (v), after item (n), the following item shall be inserted, namely: - "(o) For provision of Submarine Optical Fibre Cable connectivity between Mainland (Kochi) and Lakshadweep Islands, Capital Expenditure incurred by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited as Project Execution Agency shall be funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund.";
(ii) in rule 526, for the words, brackets and letters "items (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (l)), (m) and (n) of clause (v)", the words, brackets and letters "items (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (l), (m), (n) and (o) of clause (v)" shall be substituted.
