नई दिल्ली, 29 जुलाई, 2021

का.आ. 3010(अ).—परिसीमन अधिनियम, 2002 (2002 का 33) की धारा 3 का खंड (ख) उपबंध करता है कि मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त या मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त द्वारा नामनिदिष्ट कोई निर्वाचन आयुक्त, परिसीमन आयोग का पदेन सदस्य होगा ;

और श्री सुशील चंद्रा, निर्वाचन आयुक्त को तत्कालीन मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त द्वारा परिसीमन आयोग के पदेन सदस्य के रूप में नामनिदिष्ट किया गया था ;

और अब श्री सुशील चंद्रा को 13 अप्रैल, 2021 से भारत के मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त के रूप में पदाभिहित किया गया है ;

और मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 3 के खंड (ख) के अधीन अब परिसीमन आयोग का पदेन सदस्य होगा ;

अतः, अब, के न्द्रीय सरकार, भारत सरकार के विधि और न्याय मंत्रालय (विधायी विभाग) की अधिसूचना संख्या का.आ.1015(अ), तारीख 6 मार्च, 2020 जिसे का.आ. सं.1023(अ), तारीख 3 मार्च, 2021 द्वारा संशोधित किया गया है, में निम्नलिखित और संशोधन करती है, अर्थात :-

डॉ. रीटा वशिष्ट, अपर सचिव टिप्पण : मूल अधिसूचना सं. का.आ.1015(अ), तारीख 6 मार्च, 2020 को भारत के राजपत्र, असाधारण, भाग II, खंड (3), उपखंड (ii) में तारीख 6 मार्च, 2020 को प्रकाशित हुई थी और अधिसूचना सं. का.आ.1023(अ), तारीख 3 मार्च, 2021 द्वारा पश्चातवर्ती संशोधन किया गया ।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 29th July, 2021

S.O. 3010(E).—Whereas clause (b) of section 3 of the Delimitation Act, 2002 (33 of 2002) provides that the Chief Election Commissioner or an Election Commissioner nominated by the Chief Election Commissioner shall be an ex-officio Member of the Delimitation Commission;

And whereas Shri Sushil Chandra, Election Commissioner, was nominated by the then Chief Election Commissioner to be an ex-officio Member of the Delimitation Commission;

And whereas Shri Sushil Chndra has now been designated as the Chief Election Commissioner of India with effect from 13th April, 2021;

And whereas the Chief Election Commissioner would now be an ex-officio Member of the Delimitation Commission under clause (b) of section 3 of the said Act;

Now, therefore, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department) S.O. No. 1015(E), dated the 06th March, 2020, as amended vide S.O. No. 1023(E) dated the 3rd March, 2021, namely :–––

In the said notification, in the first paragraph, for serial number (ii) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted : –––

―(ii) Shri Sushil Chandra, Chief Election Commissioner –– Member (ex-officio)".
