सा.का.नि. 532(अ).—कें द्रीय सरकार, राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग अधिनियम, 1990 (1990 का 20) की धारा 4 की उपधारा (5) के साथ पठित धारा 17 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग (अध्यक्ष और सदस्यों के वेतन और भत्ते तथा सेवा की शर्तें) नियम, 1992 का संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात्:--
1. संक्षिप्त नाम और प्रारंभ—(1) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग (अध्यक्ष और सदस्यों के वेतन और भत्ते तथा सेवा की शर्तें) संशोधन नियम, 2021 है।
(2) ये तुरंत प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग (अध्यक्ष और सदस्यों के वेतन और भत्ते तथा सेवा की शर्तें) नियम, 1992 के नियम 6 के उपनियम (3) में, परंतुक के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित परंतुक रखे जाएंगे, अर्थात्:--
''परंतु कोई व्यक्ति, जो सदस्य-सचिव के सिवाय, सदस्य के रूप में दो अवधियों के लिए पद धारण कर चुका है, सदस्य के रूप में पुन: नामनिर्देशन के लिए पात्र नहीं होगा:
परंतु यह और कि कोई भी व्यक्ति अध्यक्ष के रूप में दो से अधिक अवधियों के लिए पद धारण नहीं करेगा:
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] (i) सदस्य के रूप में दो अवधियों के लिए; या (ii) एक अवधि सदस्य के रूप में और एक अवधि अध्यक्ष के रूप में पद धारण किया है,वह अध्यक्ष के रूप में एक और अवधि के लिए पद धारण हेतु पात्र होगा''।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 4th August, 2021
G.S.R. 532(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 read with sub-section (5) of section 4 of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (20 of 1990), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the National Commission for Women (Salaries and Allowances and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members) Rules, 1992, namely:-
1. Short Title and commencement. – (1) These rules may be called the National Commission for Women (Salaries and Allowances and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members) Amendment Rules, 2021.
(1) They shall come into force with immediate effect.
2. In the National Commission for Women (Salaries and Allowances and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members) Rules, 1992, in rule 6, in sub-rule (3), for the proviso, the following provisos shall be substituted, namely: -
"Provided that a person who has held office for two terms as Member, except as Member- Secretary, shall not be eligible for re-nomination as a Member:
Provided further that no person shall hold office for more than two terms as Chairperson:
Provided also that a person who has held office,–
(i)for two terms as Member; or
(ii)one term as Member and one term as Chairperson,
shall be eligible for one more term as Chairperson.".
