सं. टी-17019/7/2019-ईई.—पुरातात्विक अनुसंधानों संबंधी कार्यों में संलग्न भारतीय विश्वविद्यालयों के साथ तथा पुरातात्विक सिद्धांतों के अनुप्रयोग से सम्बंधित अध्ययन कर रहीं तथा भावी पुरातत्विदों को प्रशिक्षित कर रहीं अन्य संस्थाओं के साथ भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण के घनिष्ठ संपर्कों को प्रोत्साहित करने की तथा भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण के कार्यकलापों के साथ भारत की विद्वत सोसाइटियों तथा राज्य सरकारों के साथ घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध प्रदान करने की दृष्टि से, राष्ट्रपति, कें द्रीय पुरातत्व सलाहकार बोर्ड का पुनर्गठन, उसके निम्नलिखित संरचना तथा कार्यों के साथ, इसके प्रकाशन की तारीख से तीन वर्ष की अवधि के लिए करते है :-

12. पुरातत्त्वीय अध्ययनों में रूचि रखने वाले दो वैनानिक
13. भारत सरकार द्वारा उनकी व्यैक्तिक क्षमता में नामित पांच व्यक्ति
14. सिन्धु घाटी लिपि के विशेषन
15. भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण के पूर्व महानिदेशक
a. सदस्य सचिव
16. संयुक्त महानिदेशक/निदेशक (अन्वेषण एवं उत्खनन), भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण
बोर्ड के लिए चुने जाने वाले संसद सदस्यों का कार्यकाल सदन की सदस्यता के उनके कार्यकाल तक सिमित होगा, जिसमें उन्हें चुना गया है l
बोर्ड की बैठक वर्ष में एक बार होगी, बैठक की तिथि एवं स्थान अध्यक्ष द्वारा निर्धारित किया जाएगाl कार्य:
यह बोर्ड, इसके सदस्यों द्वारा भेजे गए भारत में पुरातत्व संबंधी मामलों पर भारत सरकार को सलाह देगा । यह सरकार के विचारार्थ ऐसे मामलों में सुझाव भी दे सकता है । बोर्ड, जब कभी आवश्यक होगा, अपने सम्मुख विशिष्ट मुद्दों की जाँच करने एवं उन पर रिपोर्ट देने के लिए उप-समितियां गठित कर सकता है।
राष्ट्रपति सहर्ष यह आदेश करते हैं कि कें द्रीय पुरातत्व सलाहकार बोर्ड निम्नलिखित संरचना एवं कार्यों के लिए स्थायी समिति गठित करेगा ।
संरचना
अध्यक्ष एवं संयोजक
1. महानिदेशक, भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण
सदस्य
2. बोर्ड के पांच सदस्यों का चुनाव बोर्ड के सदस्यों द्वारा अपने में से किया जाएगा ।
कार्य
सामान्यतया यह स्थायी समिति इस बोर्ड को देश में पुरातत्वीय निष्पादन के उन्नयन में सलाह देगी एवं इसे भेजी गई सभी रिपोर्टों एवं मदों पर विचार करेगी और बोर्ड की बैठक की कार्य सूची पर अपने विचार वयक्त करने के साथ-साथ सरकार अथवा समिति के अध्यक्ष के ऐसे कार्य करेगी जो इसे सौंपे गए हों। यह, जब कभी आवयशक होगा, सहयोजित करने के अधिकार के साथ उपसमितियां गठित कर सकती है। इसकी बैठकें वर्ष में दो बार से अधिक नहीं होगी।

आदेश दिया जाता है कि सभी संबंधितों को संकल्प की प्रति भेजी जाये ।

No. T-17019/7/2019-EE.—With a view to promoting closer contacts of the Archaeological Survey of India with Indian Universities conducting Archaeological Researches and other Institutions carrying out studies related to application of archaeological principles, training future Archaeologists, and providing for closer association of learned societies in India and of the State Governments with the activities of the Archaeological Survey of India, the President is pleased to reconstitute the Central Advisory Board of Archaeology for a period of three years from the date of publication with the following composition and functions:
COMPOSITION:
Chairperson
1. Minister of Culture, Government of India
Members
2. Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Culture
3. Director General, Archaeological Survey of India
4. Additional Director General, Archaeological Survey of India
5. Joint Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Culture (dealing with ASI)
6. Chairman, University Grant Commission, New Delhi
7. Director General, National Museum, New Delhi
8. Secretary or Director (Archaeology) or their nominee of the State Government/ Union Territories concerned
9. Three members of Parliament, two from Lok Sabha and one from Rajya Sabha (to be notified separately by the respective Secretariats)
10. Nominee of All India Oriental Conference/ Asiatic Society/ Indian Archaeological Society 11. Representatives of the Universities and Academic Institutions of India of the Rank of University Professor of Indian History, Culture and Archaeology nominated by the Government of India
12. Two Scientists having interest in archaeological studies
13. Five persons nominated in their personal capacities by the Government of India
14. Experts of Indus Valley Script
15. Former Director Generals of Archaeological Survey of India

The tenure of the Members of Parliament elected to be members of the Board shall be limited to the tenure of their Membership of the House which elected them.
The Board shall meet once in a year, the dates and venue of the meeting to be decided by the Chairperson.
FUNCTIONS
The Board shall advise the Government of India on matters relating to Archaeology in India referred to it by its members. It may also make suggestions on such matters for the consideration of the Government. The Board may set up Sub-Committees, as and when necessary, to examine and report on specific issues before it.

COMPOSITION:
CHAIRPERSON and CONVENOR
1. Director General, Archaeological Survey of India.
MEMBERS
2. Five members to be elected by the members of the Board from amongst themselves.
FUNCTIONS:
The Standing Committee shall advise this board generally on the promotion of Archaeological Pursuance in the country, consider all reports and items referred to it and express its views on the agenda for the Board's meeting and perform such other functions as the Government or the Chairman of the Committee may assign to it. It may set up Sub-Committees as and when necessary with power to co-opt. It may meet not more than twice a year.
