का.आ. 5694(अ).—के न्द्रीय सरकार, पर्यावरण (संरक्षण) नियम, 1986 के नियम 5 के उपनियम (4) के साथ पठित पर्यावरण (संरक्षण) अधिनियम, 1986 (1986 का 29) की धारा 3 की उपधारा (2) और उपधारा (3) के खंड (v) और खंड (xiv), उपधारा (1) के द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, भारत के राजपत्र, असाधारण, भाग II, खंड 3, उपखंड (ii) में प्रकाशित, का.आ. संख्या 2167 (अ), तारीख 27 अगस्त, 2014 द्वारा प्रकाशित भारत सरकार के पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है, अर्थात्:-
उक्त अधिसूचना में,-
(क) पैरा 2 के , उप-पैरा (1) में, "पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय में के न्द्रीय सरकार" शब्दों के स्थान पर, "राज्य सरकार के सक्षम प्राधिकारी" शब्द रखे जाएंगे;
(ख) पैरा 3 के , उप-पैरा (10) में, "पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय" शब्दों के स्थान पर, "राज्य सरकार के सक्षम प्राधिकारी" शब्द रखे जाएंगे।

New Delhi, the 7th December, 2022
S.O. 5694(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), clause (v) and clause(xiv) of sub-section(2) and sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) read with sub-rule (4) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide S.O. number 2167(E), dated the 27th August, 2014, namely:-
In the said notification,-
(A) in paragraph 2, sub-paragraph (1), for the words, "Central Government in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change", the words "Competent Authority of the State Government" shall be substituted;
(B) in paragraph 3, for sub-paragraph (10), for the words, "Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change", the words "Competent Authority of the State Government, the" shall be substituted.
