आ.अ. 79(अ).—लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 की 43) की धारा 106 के अनुसरण में, भारत निर्वाचन आयोग झारखण्ड राज्य से राज्य सभा के सदस्यों के रूप में श्री मुख्तार अब्बास नकवी और श्री महेश पोद्दार के निर्वाचन पर प्रश्न उठाते हुए, श्रीमती निर्मला देवी द्वारा दायर वर्ष 2016 की निर्वाचन याचिका सं.1 में रांची स्थित झारखण्ड उच्च न्यायालय के दिनांक 01 दिसंबर, 2022 के आदेश को एतद्द्वारा प्रकाशित करता है।

Nirmala Devi and on her instruction, earlier a withdrawal petition was filed. After filing of the withdrawal petition, notice for withdrawal has been duly published in the official gazette of Election Commission of India under Section 111 of the Representation of People Act, 1951 and no objection has been received so far.
Under the circumstance, instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
Let a copy of this order be communicated to Chief Election Commissioner, New Delhi and Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
On the prayer of learned counsel, security amount of Rs.2000/- deposited at the time of filing of election petition in terms of Section 111 of the Representation of People Act, 1951 is permitted to be withdrawn.
I.A. No. 6416 of 2022 filed for withdrawal of election petition, is hereby, allowed.
All the other I.As. are accordingly disposed of.

O.N. 79(E).—In pursuance of Section 106 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India hereby publishes the order dated 01st December, 2022 of the High Court of Jharkhand at Ranchi in the Election Petition No. 01 of 2016 filed by Shrimati Nirmala Devi calling in question the election of Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Shri Mahesh Poddar as the Members of the Council of States from the State of Jharkhand.
