का.आ. 334(अ).—भारत सरकार के पूर्ववर्ती पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता मंत्रालय (अब पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता विभाग, जल शक्ति मंत्रालय) द्वारा आधार (वित्तीय और अन्य सहायिकियों, प्रसुविधाओं और सेवाओं का लक्षित परिदान) अधिनियम, 2016 (2016 का 18) की धारा 7 के उपबंधों के अनुसरण में भारत के राजपत्र, असाधारण, भाग II, खण्ड 3, उपखण्ड (ii) तारीख 16 फरवरी, 2017 को प्रकाशित अधिसूचना संख्या का.आ. 514 (अ) द्वारा यह उपबंध किया गया था कि स्वच्छ भारत मिशन - ग्रामीण के अधीन वैयक्तिक पारिवारिक शौचालय (आईएचएचएल) के निर्माण के लिए प्रोत्साहन राशि पाने के इच्छु क व्यक्ति से यह अपेक्षा होगी कि वह आधार धारण करने का सबूत दे या आधार का अधिप्रमाणन करवाए;
और उक्त अधिसूचना के पैरा 3 में, यह उपबंध किया गया था कि उक्त अधिसूचना असम, मेघालय और जम्मू एवं कश्मीर राज्यों के सिवाय सभी राज्यों और संघ राज्य क्षेत्रों में राजपत्र में इसके प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रभावी होगी। अत:, अब, आधार (वित्तीय और अन्य सहायिकियों, प्रसुविधाओं और सेवाओं का लक्षित परिदान) अधिनियम, 2016 (2016 का 18) की धारा 7 के उपबंधों के अनुसरण में, भारत सरकार के पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता विभाग, जल शक्ति मंत्रालय द्वारा निम्नलिखित तारीख निर्धारित की जाती है, जिस तारीख से उक्त अधिसूचना उक्त राज्यों और जम्मू एवं कश्मीर संघ राज्य क्षेत्र और लद्दाख संघ राज्य क्षेत्र में प्रभावी होगी, अर्थात्:
(क) असम राज्य, जम्मू एवं कश्मीर संघ राज्य क्षेत्र और लद्दाख संघ राज्य क्षेत्र में 1 मार्च 2023 से; और (ख) मेघालय राज्य में 1 अप्रैल, 2023 से। 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF JAL SHAKTI (Department of Drinking Water And Sanitation)

S.O. 334(E).—Whereas, the erstwhile Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (now Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti) in the Government of India published vide notification number S.O. 514 (E), dated the 16th February, 2017 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3, sub-section (ii), in pursuance of the provisions of section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016) to provide that an individual desirous of incentive for construction of Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) under Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen is required to furnish proof of possession of Aadhaar or undergo Aadhaar authentication;
And whereas, in paragraph 3 of the said notification, it was provided that the said notification should come into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette in all the States and Union territories, except the States of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir.
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016), the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti in the Government of India hereby appoints the following date on which the said notification shall come into force in the said States and in the Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, namely: -
(a) in the State of Assam and in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union territory of Ladakh, with effect from the 1st day of March, 2023; and
(b) in the State of Meghalaya, with effect from the 1st day of April, 2023.
