फा.सं. आई-19034/04/2023-एनआई-II.—सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल का जीवन हर भारतीय के लिए एक प्रेरणा स्रोत है। देश के प्रभावी एकीकरण तथा आंतरिक सुरक्षा ढांचे और क्षेत्रीय विविधता के बीच विवेकपूर्ण सामन्जस्य सुनितिि करके , उनकी दूरर्दर्शता और उनके कायों ने नए भारत की मजबूत नींव रखी। उन्होंने अपने अथक परिश्रम से देश का भौगोलिक और प्रशासनिक एकीकरण स्थापित किया।

इसलिए, भारत सरकार ने देश की सुरक्षा, एकता और अखंडता को संरक्षित रखने एवं संवृ िि हेतु हमारी प्रतिबतिा को दृढ़ करने के लिए, सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल की जयंती प्रतिवर्ष, अर्थात 31 अक्टूबर को 'राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस' के रूप में घोषित करने और मनाने का निर्णय लेती है।

F. No.I-19034/04/2023-NI-II.—The life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is an inspiration for every Indian. His vision and actions for effective unification of the country and ensuring judicious harmony between internal security framework and regional diversity, laid the strong foundation of New India. Through tireless efforts, he brought geographical as well as administrative unification of our country.

Therefore, Government of India hereby decides to declare and commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel every year, i.e. 31st October, as "Rashtriya Ekta Diwas" to reaffirm our commitment towards preserving and enhancing the security, unity and integrity of the country.
