S.O. 347(E).—In pursuance of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the seat in the Council of States of one member, who retired on 27th January, 2024, on the expiration of his term of office, is published for general information:-

Election to the Council of States by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

"In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-section (2) of section 53 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, read with sub-rule (1) of rule 11 of the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, I declare that :-

Shri Sanjay Singh, resident of WZ-5, Village Keshopur, Vikas Puri, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi-110018 & 129-131, North Avenue, New Delhi-110001 sponsored by the AAM AADMI PARTY has been duly elected unopposed to fill the vacancy in that House to be caused due to the retirement of Shri Sanjay Singh on 27.01.2024 on the expiration of his term of office.

S.O. 348(E).—Whereas election has been held, in pursuance of notification number S.O. 28(E), dated the 2nd January, 2024 issued under section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), for the purpose of filling the seat of Shri Sanjay Singh, a member of the Council of States elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi who retired on 27th January, 2024, on the expiration of his term of office.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 71 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the name of the member elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is hereby notified for general information:-
