का.आ. 5794(अ).— के न्रीय सरकार का यह समाधान हो गया है कि, लोक हित में ऐसा करना अपेक्षित है कि बैंककं ग उद्योग में लगी हुई सेवाएं जो कि औद्योगिक विवाद अधिनियम, 1947 (1947 का 14) की पहली अनुसूची के मद 2 के अधीन आती है, उक्त अधिनियम के प्रयोजनों के लिए लोक उपयोगी सेवा होंगी;
और, के न्रीय सरकार ने श्रम और रोज़गार मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार की अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 2519(अ), तारीख 09 जून, 2025 द्वारा उक्त उद्योग को उक्त अधिनियम के प्रयोजनों के लिए 15 जून, 2025 से छह मास की अवधि के लिए लोक उपयोगी सेवा घोषित किया है;
और, के न्रीय सरकार की यह राय है कि लोकहित में उक्त उद्योग की लोक उपयोगी सेवा प्रास्थिति को छह मास की और अवधि के लिए विस्तारित किया जाना अपेक्षित है;
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] अत:, अब, के न्रीय सरकार, औद्योगिक विवाद अधिनियम, 1947 (1947 का 14) की धारा 2 के खण्ड (ढ) के उपखंड (vi) के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, बैंककं ग उद्योग में लगी हुई सेवाओं को उक्त अधिनियम केप्रयोजनों के लिए 15 दिसम्बर, 2025 से छह मास की और अवधि के लिए लोक उपयोगी सेवा घोषित करती है।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th December, 2025
S.O. 5794(E).— Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that public interest so requires that the services engaged in the Banking industry, which is covered under item 2 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act; And whereas the Central Government has declared the said industry to be public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six months with effect from the 15th June, 2025, vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Labour and Employment number S.O. 2519(E), dated the 09th June, 2025;
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that public interest requires the extension of the public utility service status to the said industry for a further period of six months.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares the services engaged in the Banking industry to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six months with effect from the 15th December, 2025.
