नई दिल्ली, 29 सितम्बर, 2026

आ.अ. 42(अ).— यतः, भारत के राष्ट्रपति ने लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 12 के अधीन जारी, और तारीख 29 सितम्बर, 2026 को भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकाशित अधिसूचना द्वारा नीचे की सारणी के स्तम्भ (1) में विर्निर्दष्ट राज्यों की विधान सभा के प्रत्येक

निर्वाचित सदस्यों से यह अपेक्षा की है कि वे उक्त सारणी के स्तम्भ (2) में राज्यों के सामने विर्निर्दष्ट संख्या में सदस्य निर्वाचित कर दें:

अतः, अब उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 39 की उप-धारा (1) और धारा 56 के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग एतद्द्वाराः- (अ) उक्त निर्वाचन के संबंध में निम्नलिखित निर्धारित करता हैः- 7477 GI/2026 (1) 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(iii)] (क) नाम निदेशित करने की अन्तिम तारीख - 06 अक्टूबर, 2026 (मंगलवार),

(ख) नाम निदेशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीख - 07 अक्टूबर, 2026 (बुधवार)

(ग) अभ्र्यर्थताएं वापस लेने की अंतिम तारीख - 09 अक्टूबर, 2026 (शुक्रवार),

(घ) वह तारीख, जिसको यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो मतदान होगा - 16 अक्टूबर, 2026 (शुक्रवार), और

(ङ) वह तारीख जिससे पूर्व निर्वाचन सम्पन्न करा लिया जाएगा - 19 अक्टूबर, 2026 (सोमवार), और

(आ) 09:00 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 04:00 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय, ऐसे समय के रूप में नियत करता है जिसके दौरान

यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो, उक्त विर्निर्दष्ट तारीख को, मतदान होगा।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 29th September, 2026

O.N. 42(E).— Whereas, the President of India has, by notification issued under Section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette of India on 29th September, 2026, been pleased to call upon the elected members of each of the Legislative Assemblies of the States, specified in column (1) of the TABLE below, to elect to the Council of States, the number of member(s) specified against that State in column (2) of the said TABLE:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 39 and Section 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission hereby-

(A) appoints, with respect to the said election;

(a) the 06th October, 2026 (Tuesday), as the last date for making nominations;

(b) the 07th October, 2026 (Wednesday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations;

(d) the 16th October, 2026 (Friday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and

(e) the 19th October, 2026 (Monday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and (B) fixes the hours from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken in all the above-mentioned States on the date specified above for the election.
