का. आ. 972( अ ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार, पर्यावरण ( सुरक्षा ) अधिनियम, 1986 ( 1986 का 29 ) की धारा 3 की उप- धारा ( 3 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए भारत सरकार के पर्यावरण एवं वन मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना सं. 621 ( अ ) दिनांक 2 अगस्त, 1999 में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है , अर्थात्:-
S. O. 972(E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (3) of Section 3 ofthe Environment (Protec- tion) Act, 1986(29 of 1986), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification ofthe Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests , number S. O. 621 (E) dated 2nd August, 1999, namely:
उक्त अधिनियम के पैरा 1 में " चार वर्षों की अवधि के लिए " शब्दों के स्थान पर " साढ़े चार वर्षों की अवधि के लिए " शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।
Inthe said notification, in paragraph 1, for the words "for aperiod of four years " , the words " for a period of four and half years" shall be substituted.

Note :-The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India vide number S.O. 671 (E) dated 30th September, 1996 and subsequently amended vide S. O. 710 (E) , dated 12th October, 1996 , S.O. 590 (E) , dated 15th July, 1998 , S. O. 823 (E), dated16th September, 1998 and S. O. 621 (E) , dated 2nd August, 1999 .
