निम्नलिखित बाई-लॉज संख्या 249 अ वर्तमान बाई-लॉज संख्या 249 के पश्चात् अंतः स्थापित किया जाता है:-- "2493 ( 1 ). स्थगन
माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण द्वारा स्थगन, यदि कोई हो, केवल विशिष्ट मामलों में ही प्रदान किया जायेगा , और वह भी वास्तविक कारणों हेतु - इन कारणों का लिखित रिकार्ड भी रखा जायेगा ।

( 3 ) अवधि बढ़ाये जाने का अनुरोध
अवार्ड देने में लिये गये समय को, कार्यकारी निदेशक द्वाग, जैसी भी स्थिति हो, किसी भी पार्टी या माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण ( आर्बिट्रल ट्रिब्यूनल ) द्वारा , आवेदन के माध्यम से, 3 वार से आगे नहीं बढ़ाया जा सकता ।
उपर्युक्त रीति से , अवधि बढ़ाये जाने के बावजूद भी, माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण, माध्यस्थम् ( आबिट्रेशन ) अवार्ड मामले को दर्ज किये जाने की तारीख से छह महीनों की अवधि के भीतर देगा , अर्थात् अवार्ड की समयावधि को अधिकतम तीन नहीनों की अवधि तक बढ़ाया जा सकता है ।
( 4 ) मामले को दर्ज किये जाने की तारीख
इनउप-विधियों के प्रयोजनों के लिए, माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण द्वारा किसी मामले को दर्ज किये जाने को तारीख वह समझो जायेगी, जिस तारीख को माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण ने पहली सुनवाई की हो । "

(3) TIME FOR COMPLETION OF ARBITRATION The arbitral tribunal shall make the arbitral award nor- mally within 3 months from the date of entering upon the reference.

( iii ) REQUEST FOR EXTENSION
( iv) DATE OF ENTERING REFERENCE The time taken to make the award may not be extended beyond 3 times by the Executive Director on an applica- tion by either of the parties or the arbitral tribunal . as the Case may be .
For the purposese of these bye -laws , the arbitral tribunal shall be deemed to have entered upon a reference on the date on which the arbitral tribunal has held the first hear- ing."
