इस समिति का कार्य , संविधान में राजभाषा संबंधी प्रावधानों, राजभाषा अधिनियम/ नियम के उपबंधों, केन्द्रीय हिन्दी समिति के निर्णयों तथा गृह मंत्रालय ( राजभाषा विभाग) द्वारा इस बारे में जारी निर्देशों के कार्यान्वयन में खान मंत्रालय एवं उसके संगठनों/उपक्रमों को सलाह देना होगा ।
3. कार्य अवधि
समिति का कार्यकाल सामान्यतः उसके गठन की तारीख में सामान्यत: तीन वर्ष का होगा बशर्ते कि
(क) समिति में नामजद संसद सदस्य जैसे ही संसद सदस्य नहीं रहेंगे , इस समिति के सदस्य भी नहीं रहेंगे । (ख ) समिति के पदेन सदस्य उस समय तक सदस्य बने रहेंगे जब तक कि वे उन पदों पर आरुढ़ हैं जिन पर होने के कारण थे' समिति के सदस्य हैं । (ग ) यदि किसी सदस्य के त्याग-पत्त्र अथवा मृत्यु आदि के कारण समिति में कोईस्थान रिक्त होता है तो उसके स्थान पर नियुक्त सदस्य समिति के कार्यकाल की शेष अर्वाध के लिए सदस्य होगा ।
4. सामान्य
(क) समिति का प्रधान कार्यालय नई दिल्ली में होगा , लेकिन समिति अपना बैठकें किसी अन्य नगर में भी कर सकती है ।
( ख) समिति की बैठक में भाग लेने के लिए समिति के गैर सरकारी सदस्यों को राजभाषा विभाग के दिनांक 22 जनवरी , 1987 के कार्यालय ज्ञापन सं० 11/20034/4/86 रा ० भा ० (क-2) में निहित दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुरूप और भारत सरकार द्वारा समय- समय पर यथासंशोधित दरों एवं नियमों के अनुसार यात्रा भत्ता और दैनिक भत्ता दिया जाएगा ।

आवेश दिया जाता है कि इस संकल्प को एक-एक प्रति सभी राज्य सरकारी और संघ शासित प्रदेशों के प्रशासकों ,

संकल्प
सं० 93/पी एल/1 /11 / सी सी ई ए- भारत सरकार ने 7-1-97 के संकल्प सं ० 93 /पी एल/1/ 11 / सीसीईए के अनुसार परियोजनाओं की स्वीकृति हेतु निवेश संबंधी निर्णय करने के लिए ऐलों के विद्धारित बोर्ड का गठन करने के लिए अनुमोदित संसूचित किया गया था । वित तंत्रालय , व्यय विभाग के 18-2-2002 के का ०ज्ञा० सं ० 1 ( 3 )/पी एफ II/ 2001 द्वारा अब सूचित किया है कि रेल मंत्रालय में विस्तारित बोर्ड 100 करोड़ रु ० और इसके अधिक की लागत वाली परि-. योजनाओं पर विवार करेगा । इस विस्तारित बोर्ड का गठन निम्न प्रकार से होगा: -

2. यह बोर्ड, नई लाइनों, आमान परिवर्तनों, रेलवे विद्युती- करण , प्रमुख कारखानों का विस्तार, नई फैक्टरियों की स्थापना अथवा उनका विश्तार , रेल लाइनों का दोहरीकरण, महा- नगरीय रेलवे परियोजनाएं , कंप्यूटरीकरण , यातायात सुविधाएं , सिगनल व्यवस्था एवं दूरसंचार तथा रेलों के प्रशासनिक अधिकार क्षेत्र के आधीन सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र उपक्रमों ( पी एस यू) की परियोजनाओं पर 100 करोड़ तथा इससे अधिक की रेलों की परियोजना किस्म के निवेशों के सभी प्रस्तावों पर विचार करेगा जिसके बाद इन्हें अनुमोदन हेतु आर्थिक कार्य संबंधी मंत्रिमंडल समिति (सीसीईए ) के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किए जाने की आवश्यकता होगी ।

The term of the Samiti will be ordinarily three years, from the date of its constitution provided that :-
(a) Members of Parliament who are the members of the Committee shall cease to be members as soon as they cease to be Members of Parliament .
(b) Ex-officio member of the Samiti shall continue as members as long as they hold office by virtue of which they are member of the Samiti .
(c) If a vacancy arises on the Samiti due to resigna- tion or death of member etc. the member appoin ted in that capacity shall hold office for the residual term.
( IV) GENERAL
(a) The Headquarters of the Samiti shallbe at New Delhi , but it may hold its meetings at any other station also.
(b) The non-official members shall be paid travelling and daily allowances for attending the meeting of the committee as per the guidelines contained in the Department of Official Language O.M. No. 11/20034/4/86- OL( A- 2) dated 22-1-87 and rules and rates amended by the Government of India from time to time .
