A process for preparing a catalyst for structurally isomerizing a linear olefin of at least 4 carbon atomsto its corresponding methyl branched isoolefin
comprising:
(a) mixing
(i) a zeolite powder comprising at least one zeolite with at least one one-
dimensional pore structure having a porc size of from 0.42 mm to 0.7 nm ,
(ii) a conventional binder ,
(iii) water,
(iv) from 0.1 weight percent to 6 weight. percent , based on ( i ) and (ii ) , of at least one monocarboxylic or inorganic acid and
(v) from 0.1 weight percent to 6 weight percent, based on ( i ) and ( ii ) , of at least one polycarboxylic acid;
(b ) forming in a conventional manner one or more consolidated particles from the resulting mixture; and
(c) calcining said particles at a temperature of from 200° C to 700° C;
wherein the ratio of component (i )to component ( ii ) in step ( a) is from 60:40 to 99.5:0.5 and the ratio of component ( iv ) to component ( v) in step ( a) is from 1:60 to 60: 1 to produce said catalyst .

A thermally controlled valve, for ouse in a cooling water system of internal combüstion engines to open or close passageways of the cooling water, comprising a valve element fastened to a moving unit of a thermo-element which works by detecting a change in the cooling water temperature and a valve seat which the valve element contacts with and separates from, -the valve seat has a horizontal portion and a vertical portion which the valve element contacts with and separates from , and the valve element is formed with a side in a convex shape and has a horizontal portion which contacts with and separates from the horizontal portion of the valve seat and a vertical portion which contacts with and separates from the vertical portion of the valve seat, characterized in that at least one ring lip is formed on the vertical portion of the Valveelement, and cooling water passageways are provided on several parts of the ring lip in a direction vertical to the ring lip .

Soaking in water, homogenising by known methods , mixing with binder selected from water dispersible synthetic adhesive such as herein described water , Fire Retardant such as antimoney trioxide , zinc borate, alumina trihy-drate etc. in a proportion in the range of 20-50 wt % refuge, 5-25 wt% binder, 40-70 wt. % water , 1-5wt. % fire retardant under agitation till homogeneous slurry is formed, casting into a mould of desired shape and size, under pressure in the range of 0.05 to 0.2 kg/cm² for 1 to 2 hours, curing at a temperature in the range of 50-80 ° C till the board is dried, then coating one surface with plaster of Paris followed by drying to getlow density board.

A device for transferring single sheets to the impression cylinder (D) of a sheet fed rotary printing machine which has a plate cylinder (P) provided with N printing plates having a transfer cylinder (2) which acts together with the impression cylinder ( D) , whose diameter is 1 /N of the diameter of the plate cylinder ( P) and which completes N revolutions when the plate cylinder ( P) does one revolution , having sheet grippers (4) which are installed on the transfer cylinder (2), have a front stop (4a) for the arriving sheets ( B) and are adjustable by a controllable setting means (9, 10 , 15, 16) during each revolution of the transfer cylinder (2) such that , when passing through the transfer position in which a sheet is transferred to the impression cylinder (D ) , the front stop (4a) takes a position by means of which the precise register of said sheet is adjusted relative to the position of the printing plate which prints it on the plate cylinder ( P) , wherein the sheet grippers (4) are mounted on a setting plate (3 ) mounted movably on the transfer cylinder ( 2 ) , and an individually controllable setting means (9 , 11 , 13, 15: 10, 12 , 14, 16) engages at each end of said setting plate (3 ) , which setting means displaces the relevant end of the setting plate ( 3) by a amount relative to the transfer cylinder ( 2) in the circumferential direction thereof during each revolution of the transfer cylinder (2).

Aprocess for producing polyisobutenes having a molecular weight (Mn ) in the range from 500-5000 as measured by GPC from a feedstock comprising a mixture of C4 hydrocarbons and containing isobutene and at least 5 %by weight of 1 - butene , characterized in that it comprises the following successive steps:

(2) polymerising the resulting feedstock thus pre -treated in the presence of a cationic polymerisation catalyst of the kind such as herein described and comprising at least one halogenated compound of the kind such as herein described to produce the polyisobutene which has more than 65% of the unsaturated linkages therein as vinylidene groups ( ie = CH2 groups ) and has less than 50 ppm halogen .

recovering a bottoms product, being tertiary alkyl ethers , from the second distillation zone .
