( माध्यमिक और उच्चतर शिक्षा विभाग) नई दिल्ली, दिनांक 28 जनवरी 2004 सं ० एफ 8-1/ 2001- टी ० एस०-III-बिहार इंजीनियरी कॉलेज, पटना, बिहार को पटना विश्वविद्यालय , पटना तथा बिहार राज्य सरकार की सहमति से पटना विश्वविद्यालय अधिनियम, 1976 ( 1976 के बिहार अधिनियम 24 ) द्वारा यथा परिकल्पित पटना विश्वविद्यालय के क्षेत्राधिकार से दिनांक 22-1-2004 की पंजीकरण सं ० 1284 के जरिए सोसायटी पंजीकरण अधि- नियम ( 1860 के अधिनियम 21 ) के तहत पंजीकृत निकाय राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान , पटना सोसायटी, पटना में स्थानां- तरित किए जाने के परिणामस्वरूप भारत सरकार ने, सावधानी- पूर्वक विचार करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार के तहत एक संपूर्ण वित्त पोषित संस्थान के रूप में बिहार इंजीनियरी कालेज पटना का दायित्व ग्रहण करने तथा राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान , पटना के रूप में इसका पुनः नामकरण करने का निर्णय लिया है । 2. इस संस्थान को शैक्षिक, प्रशासनिक प्रबंधन तथा वित्तीय उद्देश्यार्थ अन्य राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थानों के साथ सम्मिलित किया जाएगा । पूर्व बिहार इंजीनियरी कॉलेज के कर्मचारी तथा परिसंपत्तियां चल तथा अचल संपत्तियां जो अब तक स्थानांतरण की तिथि तक बिहार सरकार के नियंत्रणाधीन थी. राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, पटना , बिहार को स्वतः अंतरित समझी जाएंगी ।

2. Bihar from the jurisdiction of the Patna University as coatemplated by the Patna University Act , 1976 (Bihar Act 24 of 1976) with the constat of Patna University . Patna as well as the State Govern- ment of Bihar to the National Institute of Techno- logy, Patna Society Patna , a body registered under the Societies Registration Act (Act 21 of 1863 ) , vide Registration No. 1284 dated 22-01-2004, the Government of India after careful consideration , has decided to take over BCE , Patna as fully funded Institute of the Central Government and rechristen it as National Institute of Technology , Patna with immediate effect .
2. The Institute would be integrated with other NIT for academic , administrative , management and financial purposes . The personnel and the assets both moveable and immoveable of erstwhile Bihar College of Engineering which was hitherto under the control of Government of Bihar on the date of such transfer shall be deemed to have been transferred to the National Institute of Technology .
