संकल्प
सं० 1/ 3/ 98-खान-VI ( वोल्यूम- III )-भारत सरकार ने अपने दिनांक 24-4-98 के संकल्प संख्या 1/ 1/ 95-खात-VI द्वारा ग्रेन. इट उद्योग के विकास के निरीक्षण के लिए एक ग्रेनाइट विकास परिषद का पुनर्गठन किया गया था जिसका कार्यकाल दो वर्ष की अवधि यानी 31-3-2000 तक था और जिसे बाद में 31-3-2004 तक बढ़ा दिया गया । भारत सरकार इस निष्कर्ष पर पहुंची है कि ग्रेन इट विकास परिषद का कार्यकाल 31-3- 2009 तक बढ़ाना ग्रेनाइट उद्योग के विकास और ग्रेनाइट के निर्यात के हित में होगा और इसके विचारार्थ विषय वहीं होंगे जिनका दिनांक 24-4-98 के संकल्प सं ० 1/1/ 95-खान VI में उल्लेख किया गया है और ग्रेनाइट विकास परिषद का विस्तार कर दिया है तद्नुसार इसका संघटन निम्नवत है:-

RESOLUTION
No. 1 /3 / 98 - MVI. (vol- iii ) . A Granite Develop- ment Council for overseeing the development of the Granite Industry was reconstituted by the Govern- ment of India vide its Resolution of No. 1/ 1/95- MVI . dated 24-4-98 . The tenure of which was for a period of two years i.e. upto 31-3-2000 which was subsequently extended upto 31-3-2004 . The Government of India has come to the view that it will be in the interest of development of granite industry and export of granite to extend the tenure of Granite Development Council upto 31-3-2009 with the same terms of Reference as mentioned in Resolution No. 1/ 1 /95 - MVI . dated 24-4-98 and the composition of the Granite Development Council has been expanded and accordingly its composition is as under :

3. ग्रेनाइट विकास परिषद के विचारार्थ विषय निम्ब होंचे। (ⅰ) ग्रेनाइट खानों की स्थिति का आवधिक समीक्षा और आकलन करना तया इस खनिज के तीव्र विकास के लिए उपायों की सिफारिश करना । (ii) खानों में प्रयुक्त प्रौद्योगिकी का मूल्यांकन और इस खनिज के मरैद्योमिकमै उन्नयन और वैज्ञानिक दोहन के लिए उपायों की सिफारिश करना । (iii) ग्रेनाइट के वर्तमान कराधान और रायल्टी ढांचे का मूल्यांकन और ग्रेनाइट में निवेश को और अधिक आकर्षित करने के उपायों का सुझाना । (iv) ग्रेनाइट और इसके उत्पादों में मूल्य आवर्धन को बढ़ाने के उपायों की सिफारिश करना । (v) अन्य कोई पहलू जिसे परिषद देश में ग्रेनाइद के खनन और उद्योग के विकास के लिए महत् पूर्ण माने ।

3. The Terms of Reference of the Granite Deve. lopment Council will be as follows :
(i) To assess and review periodically the status ofgranite mines and recommend measures for speedy development of the mineral .
(ii) To assess technology employed in the mines and recommend measures for npgrada tion of technology and scientific exploitation of the mineral.
(iii) To assess present taxation and royalty stru. cture on granite and suggest measures to make investment in granite more attractive .
(iv) To recommend measures for increasing value addition in granite and its products .
(v) Any other aspect which the Council deems important in the interest of development of granite mining and industry in the country .
