2. राज्य सरकारों तथा अकादमिक क्षेत्र के प्रतिनिधि 22 सितम्बर, 2004 से दो वर्षों की अबधि के लिए समिति में कार्य करेंगे ।
3. पुनर्गठित समिति के कार्य निम्नलिखित होंगे :-- ( i ) केन्द्र सरकार, राज्य सरकारों तथा संघशासी प्रश. सनों द्वारा पारिवारिक बजट पूछताछ के संचालन हेतु प्रस्तावों की जांच;
( ii) अखिल भारतीय तथा राज्य स्तरीय सूचकांकों संबंधी समस्याओं को शामिल कर , उपभोक्ता मूल्य तथा तुलनात्मक ऊंची लागत सूचकाकों के निर्माण हेतु केन्द्र सरकार , राज्य सरकारों तथा संघश सी प्रशासनों द्वारा तैयार की गई स्कीमों की जांच;
( iii) अवधारणाओं, परिभाषाओं, मूल्य संग्रहण की पद्धतियों तथा उपभोक्ता मूल्य एवं तुलनात्मक ऊंची लागत सूचकांकों के समेकन का मानकीकरण तथा सुधार करना;
( iv ) अखिल भारतीय तथा राज्य स्तरीय सूचकांकों संबंधी समस्याओं सहित , थोक, फुटकर , उत्पादकों तथा धन्य मूल्य सूचकांकों और उनसे संबंधित
[भाग । विशिष्ट समस्याओं हेतु केन्द्र सरकार, राज्य सरकारों तथा संघशासी प्रशासनों द्वारा तैयार की गई स्कीमों की जांच करना;
( v ) प्रत्येक प्रकार के सूचकांकों के लिए समुचित भारण की पद्धतियों सहित थोक, फुटकर उत्पादकों के तथा अन्य मूल्य सूचकांकों के समेकन और मूल्य संग्रहण की पद्धतियों, परिभाषाओं, अवधारणाओं का मानकीकरण तथा सुधार करना;
(vi ) मूल्य सांख्यिकी के संग्रहण , समेकन तथा प्रसार की एक एकीकृत प्रणाली विकसित करने तथा इसे तर्कसंगत बनाने की दृष्टि से मूल्य संग्रहण हेतु संगठनात्मक व्यवस्थाओं तथा मशीनरी की समीक्षा करना ।
4. केन्द्रीय सांख्यिकीय संगठन, सांख्यिकी और कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन मंत्रालय द्वारा समिति को लिपिकीय सहायता उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी ।
5. समिति की बैठकों में भाग लेने के लिए सरकारी सदस्यों पर यात्रा भत्ता/ दैनिक भत्ता संबंधी व्यय उनके मूल मंत्रालयों/ विभागों/ संगठनों, जिससे वे संबंध रखते हों, द्वारा वहन किया जाएगा ।
6. क्रम सं ० 16 और 17 पर उल्लिखित गैर-सरकारी सदस्यों को व्यय विभाग , वित मंत्रालय के समय- समय पर यथासंशोधित और स्पष्टीकृत दिनांक 23-6-1986 के कार्यालय ज्ञापन सं ० 19020/ 1 /84-स्था ० IV के पैरा । ( ii) में निहित अनुदेशों के अनुसार बैठक में भाग लेने के लिए गैर-सरकारी सदस्यों को यथा अनुमत्य यात्रा भत्ता/ दैनिक भत्ता वाहन भत्ता दिया जाएगा ।
7. उपरोक्त पैरा 1 की क्रम सं ० 16 तथा 17 पर गैर- सरकारी सदस्यों को यात्रा भत्ता/ दैनिक भत्ता के भुगतान के कारण होने वाला व्यय योजना स्कीम उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक अंकमाला का विकास , राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर शहरी तथा ग्रामीण जनसंख्या हेतु अलग-अलग के अंतर्गत बजट प्रावधान से वहन किया जाएगा ।
8. इसे बजट तथा वित्त अनुभाग की डायरी सं ० 501 दिनांक 14-9-2004 के तहत आर्थिक सलाहकार (सांख्यिकी ) की सहमति से जारी किया जाता हैं ।

अधिनियम , 1956 की धारा-3 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग की सलाह पर एतद्वारा घोषणा करती हैं कि एस ० आर ० एम ० चिकित्सा मह. विद्यालय अस्पताल एवं अनुमंत्रात केन्द्र, कट्टनकुल थुर, कांचीपुरम को एम ० आर ० एम ० विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, चेन्नई, जो सम- विश्वविद्यालय है , के कार्यक्षेत्र के अंतर्गत उक्त अधिनियम के प्रयोजरार्थ निम्न शर्तों के अधीन तत्काल प्रभाव से शामिल किया जाता है:-

(क) एम ० आर ० एम ० चिकित्सा महाविद्यालय एवं अनुसंधान केन्द्र भारतीय चिकित्सा परिषद के पूर्व अनुमोदन के बिना किसी भी छात्र को दाखिल नहीं करेगा ।

(i) Examination of proposals for the conduct of Family Budget Enquires by Central Government , State Governments and Union Territory Administrations ;
(ii) Examination of schemes prepared by the Central Government , State Governments and Union Territory Administrations for the construction of Consumer Price and Comparative Costliness Indices and special problems connectet therewith , including problems concerning all India and State Level indices;
(iii ) Improvement and standardization of the concepts , definitions , methods of price collection and compilation of Consumer Price and Comparative Costliness Indices ;

(iv) Examination of schemes prepared by the Central Government State Governments and Union Territory Administrations , for the construction of wholesale , retail, pro- ducers' and other price indices and special problems connected therewith, including problems concerning all India and State level indices;
(v) Improvement and standardization of the concepts , definitions , methods of price collection and compilation of wholesale , retail, producers and other price indices , including methods of weighting appropriate for each type of indices ;
(vi ) Review of organizational arrangements and the machinery for price collection with a view to rationalizing and developing an integrated system of collection) compilation and dissemination of price statistics .
4. Secretarial assistance to the Committee will be provided by the Central Statistical Organisation , Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implemen- tation.
5. The expenditure of the official members on TA/DA for attending the meetings of the Committee will be borne by the 'parent Ministries/ Departments /Organizations to which they belong .

New Delhi , the 30th September 2004 No. F. 9-27/2004- U. 3- In continuation of notifincation No. F. 9-9 /98 -U. 3 dated 2-8-2002 and 13-3-2003 and in exercise of the powers con- ferred by Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act , 1956 , the Central Government, on the advice of the University Grants Commission hereby declare that the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre , Kattankulathur , Kanchipuram is included under the ambit of SRM Institute of Science and Technology , Chennai , a Deemed to be University for the purpose of the aforesaid Act with immediate effect subject to the following conditions :-
(a) The SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre shall not admit any student without obtaining prior approval from the Medical Council of India ;
(b) Any advertisement/public notice issued by SRM Institute of Science and Technology in the interim period will specifically state that the inclusion of Medical College in the ambit of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. (Deemed University) by UGC is provisional and subject to the approval of Medical Council of India.
