मंत्रालय में, गंभीर धोखाधड़ी जांच कार्यालय ( एसएफआईओ ) के गठन का निर्णय लिया है । भारत सरकार ने कारपोरेट धोखाधड़ियों में जांच का कार्य करने के उद्देश्य से कम्पनी अधिनियम, 1956 के प्रावधानों के अंतर्गत कम्पनी कार्य मंत्रालय में दिनांक 01.07.2003 से प्रभाव में आने वाले गंभीर धोखाधड़ी जांच कार्यालय (एसएफआईओ ) का गठन किया है ।
सं. 122- प्रेज/2005 -- राष्ट्रपति का पुलिस पदक और पुलिस पदक से संबंधित संविधि की ' आठवीं ' संविधि के अनुसरण में राष्ट्रपति सचिवालय की समय - समय पर संशोधित दिनांक 1 मार्च, 1951 की अधिसूचना सं. 4-प्रेज में निहित 'राष्ट्रपति का पुलिस पदक के नियम 7 और पुलिस पदक के नियम 9 में निम्नलिखित संशोधन किए जाते हैं :--
राष्ट्रपति का पुलिस पदक :--
वर्तमान नियम 7 के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित को प्रतिस्थापित किया
जाता है : --
7. '26 जनवरी ( गणतंत्र दिवस ) और 15 अगस्त (स्वतंत्रता दिवस ) को विशिष्ट सेवा के लिए पुरस्कारों की घोषणा संबंधी संस्तुतियां इस तरह भेजी जानी चाहिएं कि वे सचिव, भारत सरकार, गृह मंत्रालय के पास हर वर्ष क्रमशः 26 अक्तूबर और 15 मई तक अवश्य पहुंच जाएं। '
इस बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए कि ऐसे धोखाधड़ियों को (क) अंतर विभागीय जटिलता , बहुअनुशासनिक और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय विभाजने, (ख) पैसों के गलत उपयोग के रूप में या प्रभावित व्यक्तियों की संख्या के रूप में लोकहित की ठोस संलिप्तता, और (ग ) प्रणालियों कानूनों और प्रक्रियायों में सुधार में योगदान देने वाली जांचों की संभावना, के द्वारा वर्गीकृत किया जा सकता है, एसएफआईओ को कार्य को पूरा करने के लिए विभिन्न क्षेत्रों, जिसमें लेखा, फॉरेन्सिक लेखा परीक्षण, कर व्यवस्था, सूचना तकनीक, पूंजी बाजारों , वित्तीय सौदों आदि शामिल हैं, में विशेषज्ञता रखने वाले विशेषज्ञों की सेवा लेने के लिए अधिकृत किया गया है ।
पुलिस पदक : ---
वर्तमान नियम 9 के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित को प्रतिस्थापित किया जाता है : --
एसएफआईओ की अध्यक्षता एक ' निदेशक ' पद का अधिकारी (भारत सरकार के संयुक्त सचिव/अतिरिक्त सचिव के स्तर का ) करता है जिसे सभी वित्तीय और प्रशासनिक उद्देश्यों के लिए विभाग का अध्यक्ष घोषित किया गया है ।.
लोगों की सामान्य सूचना के लिए यह संकल्प भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकाशित किया जाता है ।
आदेश
9.. '26 जनवरी ( गणतंत्र दिवस ) और 15 अगस्त ( स्वतंत्रता दिवस ) को सराहनीय सेवा के लिए पुरस्कारों की घोषणा संबंधी संस्तुतियां इस तरह भेजी जानी चाहिएं ताकि वे सचिव, भारत सरकार, गृह मंत्रालय के पास हर वर्ष क्रमशः 26 अक्तूबर और 15 मई तक अवश्य पहुंच जाएं । '
ये संशोधन तत्काल प्रभाव से लागू होंगे ।

सं. एफ. 9-26/2004-यू.3--विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग अधिनियम, 1956 ( 1956 की 3 ) की धारा 3 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार, विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग की सलाह पर डी. वाई. पाटिल शिक्षा सोसायटी , कोल्हापुर (महाराष्ट्र) जिसका डी. वाई. पाटिल चिकित्सा कालेज , कोल्हापुर है , को तत्काल प्रभाव से उपर्युक्त अधिनियम के उद्देश्य हेतु निम्नलिखित शर्तों पर सम-विश्वविद्यालय घोषित करती है :--
( 1 ) यह संस्थान विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग और भारतीय चिकित्सा परिषद् जैसे निकायों द्वारा समय - समय पर जारी सम-विश्वविद्यालय पर लागू होने वाले दिशा- निर्देशों का अनुपालन करेगा।
(2 ) संस्थान के संगम ज्ञापन/विनियमों को इस प्रकार संशोधित किया जाएगा: --
(क ) संगम जपन के पैरा 1 में ' ट्रस्ट/ सोसाइटी ' के स्थान पर ' संस्थान ' शब्द का प्रयोग किया जाए ।
(ख ) यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए यह संस्थान कोई वाणिज्यिक कार्यकलाप नहीं करता है और अनुमोदित सरकारी प्रतिभूतियों में निवेश भारत सरकार के नियमों के अनुसार केवल भविष्य निधि इत्यादि के उद्देश्यार्थ ही किया गया है संगम ज्ञापन के पैरा 3 (XXXIV) /नियमों में उपयुक्त शब्दों का प्रयोग किया जाए ।

draw upon the services of experts and expertise in various fields including accountancy , forensic auditing , taxation , information technology , capital markets , financial transactions , etc. with a view to fulfilling the assigned task .
The SFIO is headed by an officer designated as 'Director ' (of the level of Joint Secretary /Additional Secretary to the Govt . of India) who has been declared as Head of the Department for all financial and administrative purposes .
No. 122 -Pres/2005.-In accordance with Statute 'Eighthly' of the Statute relating to President's Police Medal and Police Medal , the following amendments are made in Rule 7 of the President's Police Medal and Rule 9 of the Police Medal contained in President's Secretariat's Notification No. 4 - Pres dated 1st March , 1951 as amended from time to time .

This resolution is published in the Gazette of India for general information of the public .

The present Rule 7 be substituted by the following:-
1. Ordered that a copy of this Resolution be communicated to all Ministries/Departments of the Govt. of India/ all State Governments/Union Territory Administrations/Director , Intelligence Bureau , Director, Central Bureau of Investigation, Delhi .
7. " Recornmendations for the announcement of awards fór distinguished service on the 26th January (Republic Day ) and the 15th August ( Independence Day) should be forwarded so as to reach the Secretaryto the Government of India , Ministry of Home Affairs , not later that the 26th October , and the 15th May , respectively each year " .
2. Ordered also that this Resolution be published in the Gazette of India for general information .

(a) In Para 1 of MOA , the word ' Institute ' may be used instead of ' Trust/Society' .

Whereas the Government of India has decided on 9th January , 2003 to set up a Serious Fraud Investigation Office ( SFIO ) in the then Department of Company Affairs , and now the Ministry of Company Affairs . The Government of India has set up the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO ) in the Ministry of Company Affairs w.e.f. 01.07.2003 with a view to undertaking investigations under the provisions of the Companies Act , 1956 in corporate frauds .
(b ) Para 3 ( XXXIV ) of MOA/Rules shouldbe appropriately worded to ensure that the Institute undertakes no commercial activity and the investments are made in approved Government securities only for the purposes of Provident Fund etc. as per the Government of India's Rules .
