चयन समिति, जिसकी बैठक 25.1.2002 को हुई, की सिफारिशों में कोई परिवर्तन नहीं।

2. उक्त चारों चयन सूचियों के उपरोक्त अधिकारियों की अवर सचिव के पद पर नियुक्ति दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय में श्री आर. के. ओझा तथा सुश्री प्रीति श्रीवास्तव द्वारा भारत संघ एवं अन्य के विरुद्ध दायर सिविल रिट याचिका के अंतिक निर्णय के अध्यधीन होगी ।

श्री. सुखमोहिंदर सिंह, जिन्हें 1999 की चयन सूची में अनंतिम रूप से शामिल किया गया था, को बाद में 1999 की चयन सूची में बिना शर्त शामिल कर लिया गया तथा उन्हें 30.9.2005 की अधिसूचना के तहत भारतीय पुलिस सेवा में नियुक्त किया गया ।

The above officers would be entitled to arrears on accounts of re - fixation of pay from the dates of their actual appointment to the post of Under Secretary ordered centrally by the Department of Personnel and Training . In addition, these officers shall also be entitled to exercise the benefit of option for fixation of their pay as provided under the provision of FR - 22 . However, such officers who were promoted as ad -hoc Under Secretary prior to the 1st July of their Select List year and had availed of the benefit of split option, shall not be eligible to re - exercise the option .
