त्रिपुरा इंजीनियरी कालेज , अगरतला को राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान का दर्जा देने के लिए त्रिपुरा सरकार के प्रस्ताव पर 23 फरवरी, 2006 को आयोजित बैठक में केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमण्डल के अनुमोदन के अनुसरण में केन्द्र सरकार एतद्द्वारा उपर्युक्त संस्थान का संपूर्ण प्रशासनिक तथा वित्तीय नियंत्रण अपने अधीन लेती है । यह अधिसूचना 1.4.2006 से लागू होगी । इसके पश्चात् त्रिपुरा इंजीनियरी कालेज , अगरतला को राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान , अगरतला के रूप में जाना जाएगा ।
2. राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, अगरतला को शैक्षणिक सत्र 2006-2007 से शैक्षणिक तथा प्रशासनिक उद्देश्य हेतु अन्य राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थानों के साथ सम्मिलित किया जाएगा । संस्थान को वित्तीय वर्ष 2006-2007 से अन्य राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थानों पर लागू होने वाली अनुमोदित सहायता प्रणाली के अनुसार योजनागत तथा योजनेतर के अंतर्गत सहायता अनुदान दिया जाएगा ।
3. 31.3.2006 तक उपर्युक्त संस्थान के सभी उत्तरदायित्व त्रिपुरा राज्य सरकार द्वारा वहन किए जाएंगे । इसके अतिरिक्त , 1.4.2006 से संस्थान के सभी कर्मचारियों की सेवा शर्तों को अभिशासित करने वाली विस्तृत नियम एवं शर्ते अलग से अधिसूचित की जाएंगी । इसके साथ-साथ संस्थान 1.4.2006 की स्थिति के अनुसार उपलब्ग्ध संपत्तियों तथा उत्तरदायित्वों का विस्तृत रजिस्टर तैयार करेगा । इसके अतिरिक्त संस्थान , मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय (माध्यमिक और उच्चतर शिक्षा विभाग) द्वारा समय -समय पर जारी अनुदेशों के अनुसार अभिशासित होगा । किसी अनुदेश के उपलब्ध न होने पर यह उस सामान्य आदेश के अनुसार कार्य करेगा जो इसी प्रकार की अन्य केन्द्र द्वारा वित्तपोषित संस्थाओं पर लागू होता है ।

रेल मंत्रालय (रेलवे बोर्ड) के दिनांक 23.06.2005 तथा 19.8.2005 के संकल्प सं. हिंदी/समिति/2004/ 38/2 में आंशिक संशोधन करते हुए निम्नलिखित तीन सदस्यों के नाम पुनर्गठित रेलवे हिंदी सलाहकार समिति में शामिल किएजाते हैं : -
1. श्री शिशिर सोनी,
2. श्रीमती गीता भार्गव, सी-6, द्वारकापुरी , प्रेम नगर के पीछे , किला गेट रोड, ग्वालियर, मध्य प्रदेश.

आदेश
यह आदेश दिया जाता है कि इस संकल्प की एक- एक प्रति , प्रधान मंत्री कार्यालय , मंत्रिमंडल सचिवालय , संसदीय कार्य मंत्रालय , लोक सभा तथा राज्य सभा सचिवालय और भारत सरकार के सभी मंत्रालयों तथा विभागों कोभेज दी जाए.
यह भी आदेश दिया जाता है कि सर्वसाधारण की सूचना के लिए यह संकल्प भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकाशित कियाजाए.

MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (DEPARTMENT OF SECONDARY & HIGHER EDUCATION)

Consequent upon approval by the Union Cabinet to the proposal of the Government of Tripura in its meeting held on 23rd February , 2006 regarding upgradation of Tripura Engineering College, Agartala as National Institute of Technology , the Central Government hereby takes over the full administrative and financial control of the above Institute. This Notification will come into force with effect from 01.04.2006 . Hereafter , Tripura Engineering College , Agartala shall be known as National Institute of Technology ( NIT) , Agartala .
2. The NIT, Agartala would be integrated with other National Institutes of Technology ( NITs ) in terms of academic and administrative practices from the academic session 2006 - 2007. The Institute would be given grant - in - aid under Plan and Non Plan from the financial year 2006 - 2007 in accordance with the approved pattern of assistance as applicable to other NITs .
3. All liabilities of the aforesaid Institute upto 31.03.2006 shall be borne by the State Government of Tripura . Further , detailed terms and conditions governing the service conditions of all the employees in the Institute as on 01.04.2006 would be notified separately . In the meanwhile , the Institute would prepare a detailed Register of Assets & Liabilities as on 01.04.2006 . Further , the Institute shall be governed in accordance with the instructions to be issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Secondary & Higher Education ) from time to time hereafter . In the absence of any instruction, it shall be governed by the general order as applicable to similar other Centrally funded Institutions .
