भारत सरकार दिनांक 21 मार्च, 2006 की संकल्प सं. एफ 4-1/2005- यू. - 3 के जरिए परिषद अर्थात् ' भारतीय दार्शनिक अनुसंधान परिषद का पुनः गठन करती है ।
1. अब भारत सरकार एतदद्वारा दिनांक 21.3.2006 के उपर्युक्त संकल्प में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है : --
(ग) भारत सरकार द्वारा बारह सदस्य नामांकित किए गए सं. 81 - प्रेज/2006- राष्ट्रपति निदेश देते हैं कि 1 मार्च , 1951 की अधिसूचना सं. 4 - प्रेज/51 , के अधीन10 मार्च, 1951 को भारत के राजपत्र के भाग -1 , खण्ड-1 में प्रकाशित तथा समय- समय पर संशोधित, राष्ट्रपति के पुलिस पदक तथा पुलिस पदक प्रदान किए जाने को शासित करने बाले नियमों में निम्नलिखित संशोधन किया जाए : --

" किसी भी एक वर्ष में विशिष्ट सेवा के लिए दिए जाने वाले पदकों की संख्या 140 से अधिक नहीं होगी । किसी भी एक वर्ष में शौर्य के लिए दिए जाने वाले पदकों की संख्या की कोई सीमा नहीं होगी । "
बरुण मित्रा आदेश है कि शुद्धिपत्र, सामान्य सूचना हेतु भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकाशित किया जाए ।

The President is pleased to direct that the following amendment shall be made in the rules governing the award of the President's Police Medal and published in Part- I , Section I of the Gazette of India of 10th March , 1951 , under Notification No. 4- Pres/51 dated the 1st March , 1951 , as amended from time to time :-
PRESIDENT'S POLICE MEDAL FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE
For Rule ( 3 ) , the following shall be substituted :-
"The number of medals awarded for Distinguished Service in any one year shall not exceed 140. There will be no limit on the number of medals to be awarded for gallantry in any one year" .
BARUN MITRA Director No.82-Pres/2006.-The President is pleased to direct that the figure " 860 " appearing under rule 3 of the rules for Police Medal published vide Notification No. 4 -Pres/51 , dated the 1st Márch, 1951 , as amended from time to time shall be substituted by the figure " 1035 " with immediate effect.
