नई दिल्ली, 16 अप्रैल , 2007 आ. अ. 22. लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1950 ( 1950 का 43 ) की धारा 13- क की उप - धारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए भारत निर्वाचन आयोग अण्डमान एवं निकोबार द्वीप समूह के प्रशासन के परामर्श से एतद्वारा श्री प्रवीन कुमार गुप्ता , आई. ए. एस. के स्थान पर श्री धर्म पाल , आई. ए. एस. ( ए.जी.एम. यू.टी. - 1988 ) को उनके कार्यभार ग्रहण करने की तारीख से आगामी आदेशों तक के लिए अण्डमान एवं निकोबार द्वीप समूह के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी के रूप में नामित करता है ।
O.N. 22. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1 ) of Section 13A of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950) , the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Administration of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands hereby nominates Shri Dharam Pal , IAS (AGMUT : 1988) as the ChiefElectoral Officer for the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands with effect from the date he takes over charge and until further orders vice Shri Praveen Kumar Gupta, IAS .
2. The Commission is not insisting on a full- time ChiefElectoral Officer in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and has allowed Shri Dharam Pal to retain his regular additional charges .
2. आयोग, अण्डमान एवं निकोबार द्वीप समूह में पूरे समय के लिए मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी हेतु जोर नहीं दे रहा है और श्री धर्म पाल को अपने नियमित अतिरिक्त कार्यभार रखने की अनुमति देता है ।
