2. ऊपर उल्लिखित अधिकारियों की सैद्धांतिक आधार पर अवर सचिव के रूप में अनुमोदित सेवा और साथ ही उनके वेतन निर्धारण के उद्देश्य से इस नियुक्तिको क्रमशः 1.7.2001 और 1.7.2002 से प्रभावी समझा जाएगा । ये अधिकारी एफ आर-22 में दिए गए उपबंधों के अनुसार अपने वेतन निर्धारण के लिए विकल्प देने के लिए भी हकदार होंगे । तथापि, यदिकोई अधिकारी जो अपनी चयन सूची वर्ष की । जुलाई से पूर्व तदर्थ अवर सचिव के रूप में पदोन्नत हुआ हो तथा उसने विकल्प का लाभ ले लिया है , तो वह पुनः विकल्प देने का पात्र नहीं होगा । वास्तविक लाभकेवल उसी तारीख से उपलब्ध होगा जिस तारीख से इन अधिकारियों को अवर सचिव के पद पर नियुक्त किया गया है ।
