सं. एफ 9-11/2007 -यू. - 3 (ए) .--

जबकि केन्द्र सरकार को विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग की सलाह पर किसी उच्चतर अध्ययन संस्था को विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग अधिनियम , 1956 के तहत समविश्वविद्यालय के रूप में घोषित करने का अधिकार प्राप्त है ।

2. और जबकि इस्लामिक अकेडमी ऑफ एजुकेशन , मंगलौर, कर्नाटक से येलपोया विश्वविद्यालय को विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग अधिनियम, 1956 की धारा ३ के तहत समविश्वविद्यालय के रूप में घोषित करने के लिए प्रस्ताव प्राप्त हुआ है;

3. और जबकि विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग ने उक्त प्रस्ताव की जांच की है और अपने दिनांक, 23.10 . 2007 के पत्र संख्या एफ.26-8 / 2007 ( सीपीपी ) के द्वारा येनधोया डेन्टल कालेज, मंगलौर वाले येनपोया विश्वविद्यालय , मंगलौर, कर्नाटक को विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग अधिनियम , 1956 की थाय ३ के तहत समविश्वविद्यालय का दर्जा देने की सिफारिश की है;

4. अतः विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग अधिनियम , 1956 की धारा 3 द्वारा दी गई शक्तियों का उपयोग करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग की सलाह पर येनपोया डेन्टल कालेज, मंगलौर वाले येनपोया विश्वविद्यालय , मंगलौर, कर्नाटक को उक्त अधिनियम के प्रयोजनार्थ समविश्वविद्यालय के रूप में घोषित करती है । यह उस तिथि से प्रभावी होगा जिस तिथि से उक्त कालेज स्व को अपने सम्बद्ध विश्वविद्यालय अर्थात् राजीव गांधी स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान विश्वविद्यालय से असंबंद्ध कर लेगा ।

5. उपयुक्तं पैरा 4 में की गई उ‌द्घोषणा इस शर्त के भी अधीन है जिसका उल्लेख इस अधिसूचना के पृष्ठांकन की कम संख्या 5 पर किया गया है।

6. न तो भरत सरकार और न ही विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग येनपोया विश्वविधालय था इसकी अंगीभूत शिक्षण इकाई दो कोई योजनागन और योन्त्रजेत्तर सहायता अनुदान प्रदान करेंगे ।

सं. 22-6/2007 - टी.एस.। विज्ञान में उच्च गुणवत्ता वाली शिक्षा और अनुसंधान को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए भारत सरकार ने तिरूवनंतपुरम में भारतीय विज्ञान शिक्षा और अनुसंधान संस्थान की स्थापना की है । संस्थान को दिनांक 20.02.2008 को आवनकोर- कोचीन साहित्यिक वैज्ञामिक और धर्मार्थ सोसायटी पंजीकरण अधिनियम, 1955 ( 1955 का 12 ) के तहत एक सोसायटी के रूप में पंजीकृत किया गया है जिसकी संख्या टी.342/08 है ।

2. भारतीय विज्ञान शिक्षा और अनुसंधान संस्थान, तिरुवनंतपुरम सोसायटी के विनियम 7.1 और B.1 के अनुसार भारत सरकार भारतीय विज्ञान शिक्षा और अनुसंधान संस्थान , तिरूवनंतपुरम की सोसायटी और शासी बोर्ड का इस प्रकार गटन करती है :

Whereas the Central Government is empowered under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission ( UGC) Act , 1956 to declare , on the advice of the UGC , an institution of higher learning as a deemed -to-be-university.

2. And whereas , a proposal was received from Islamic Academy of Education , Mangalore , Karnataka seeking status of deemed- to-be- university in the name of 'Yenepoya University' under Section 3 of the UGC Act , 1956;

3. And whereas , the University Grants Commission have examined the said proposal and vide their communication No.F.26-8/2007 ( CPP -I ) dated the 23rd October , 2007 have recommended conferment of status of' deemed -to- be-university' to Yenepoya University, Mangalore , Karnataka , comprising Yenepoya Dental College, Mangalore , under Section 3 of the UGC Act , 1956;

Therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, the Central Government , on the advice of the University Grants Commission ( UGC ) , herebydeclare Yenepoya University, Mangalore , Karnataka , comprising of Yenepoya Dental College , Deralakatte , Mangalore, as deemed -to-be - university for the purposes of the aforesaid Act , with effect from the date on which the aforesaid Dental College is disaffiliated from its affiliating university, viz. , Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences , Bangalore , Karnataka;

5. The declaration made in para 4 above is subject to further conditions mentioned at Sr. No.5 of the endorsement to this Notification;

6. Neither the Government of India nor the University Grants Commission shall provide any Plan and Non -Plan grant- in-aid to Yenepoya University or its constituent teaching units.
