का.नि.आ. 41.- सैनिक स्कूल सोसाइटी नियमावली तथा विनियम , 1997 के परिशिष्ट ख की मद 16 तथा 17 और विनियम 1977 के तहत प्रदत्त शक्तियों का पालन करते हुए , सैनिक स्कूल ने घोषणा की है कि नागालैंड में सैनिक स्कूल खोले जाने से संबंधित मामले को कुछ समय से रक्षा मंत्रालय/सैनिक स्कूल सोसाइटी तथा नागालैंड सरकार के ध्यान में लाया जा रहा है । नागालैंड सरकार ने अपने 7 मई , 2007 को नोटिस सं. ई डी एस/सैनिक/ पी आर/45/ 2005 के तहत अब जिला पेरन के पुंगलवा में सैनिक स्कूल खोलने का निर्णय लिया है ताकि नागालैंड के बच्चों की उचित शारीरिक, बौद्धिक तथा मनोवैज्ञानिक वृद्धि हो सके तथा उनमें अपेक्षित गुणों का संचार किया जा सके । यह भी सोचा गया है कि इससे नागालैंड के बच्चों को सशस्त्र सेना में सेवा करने के लिए बेहतर अवसर भी उपलब्ध होंगे । एतद्वारा यह अधिसूचित किया जाता है कि सैनिक स्कूल सोसाइटी ने सैनिक स्कूल सोसाइटी विनियमावली तथा विनियम के प्रावधानों के अनुसार 2 अप्रैल , 2007 से पुंगलवा में सैनिक स्कूल की स्थापना के लिए सहमति दे दी है ।

[PART II-SEC. 4] inNagaland had been engaging the attention of the Ministry of Defence/ Sainik School Society and the Government ofNagaland for quite some time . Government of Nagaland have now vide their Notice No. EDS/SAINIK/PR/45 /2005 dated 7th May , 2007 decided to open Sainik School at Pungiwa Dist. Peren to ensure proper physical , mental and psychological growth and inculcation of desired qualities in the boys of Nagaland . This , it is considered, would also provide better opportunity for boys of Nagaland to serve in the Armed Forces . It is hereby notified that Sainik Schools Society have agreed to establish the Sainik School at Pungiwa as per provisions of Sainik Schools Society Rules and Regulation w.e.f. 2nd April, 2007.
