3. On inclusion of their names in the aforesaid select list, the officers would be entitled to arrears on account of re- fixation of their pay from the dates of their actual appointment to the post of Under Secretary. In addition , these officers shall also be entitled to exercise the benefit of option for fixation of their pay as per provisions of FR -22 . However, such officers who are promoted as ad -hoc Under Secretary prior to 1.7.2003 and had availed the benefit of split option, shall not be eligible to re - exercise the option.
