3. बोर्ड सरकार को सामान्यतः कपास नियंत्रण आदेश, 1986 के अंतर्गत आने वाले मामलों सहित कपास के उत्पादन , खपत तथा विपणन से संबंधित मामलों पर सलाह देगा और साथ ही सूती वस्त्र मिल उद्योग , कपास उपजकर्ताओं, कपास व्यापार तथा सरकार के बीच संपर्क स्थापित करने के लिए एक मंच प्रदान करेगा ।
4. पुनर्गठित बोर्ड के सदस्य 4मई, 2012 अथवा आगामी आदेश, इनमें से जो भी पहले हो, तक बोर्ड में कार्य करेंगे ।
5. गैर-सरकारी सदस्यों को बोर्ड की बैठक में भाग लेने के लिए वित्त मंत्रालय के अनुदेशों के अनुसार यात्रा भत्ता/दैनिक भत्ता दिया जाएगा ।

The Board will advise the Government generally on matters pertaining to production, consumption and marketing of cotton including matters within the purview of Cotton Control Order, 1986 and also provide a forum for liaison between the Cotton Textile Mill Industry, the cotton growers , the cotton trade and the government.
4. The Members of the reconstituted Board will serve on the Board upto 4th May, 2012, or until further orders , whichever is earlier .
5. The Non - Official Members will be allowed TA/DA for attending the meetings of the Board in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Finance.
6. The attendance in the meetings of the Board is restricted to the Members only.
