New Delhi , the 30th July , 2010
District has stated that he has not yet filed his account of election expenses ;
O. N. 48. Whereas , the Election Commission of India is satisfied that Shri Maruthaiveeran . V. a contesting candidate at the General Election to Lok Sabha , 2009 from 23 -Karur Parliamentary Constituency has failed to lodge his account of election expenses as required by the Representation of the People Act , 1951 and the Rules made there under;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of Section 10A of the said Act , the Election Commission hereby declares Sh. Maruthaiveeran . V. to be disqualified for being chosen as and for being a member of either House of Parliament or the Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council of a State orUnion Territory for a period of three years from the date ofthis order .
[No. 76 /TN - HP /2009 ( 5 ) ] And whereas , the said candidate could not submit his representation /account of election expenditure till date under the said rule .
