No. 11 /2/2012 -CL- V- The Government of India has decided to appoint one -man inquiry Committee , outside the Commission of Inquiry Act, 1952, under Justice Shri Mukul Mudgal , Former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court regarding media reports concerning Wal - mart pursuant to the assurance given to the House of Lok Sabha on 12.12.2012.s
The terms of the reference of the inquiry are as under :-

(a) To inquire into recent media reports on disclosures of Wal- mart before the US Senate regarding their lobbying activities and details thereof.
(xi) The Officer - in-Charge , PlantQuarantine Station, Mundra Kutch, (Gujarat) [Code No. 'C' (PPQS) 1 ( 40)] (b) Whether Wal- mart undertook any activities in India in contravention of any Indian Law.
(c) Any other matter relevant or incidental to the above.
