सं. 5-21/2007 - एमडीएम 2-1--स्कूलों में राष्ट्रीय मध्याहन भोजन कार्यक्रम में राष्ट्रीय जांच एवं अनुवीक्षण समिति की स्थापना की परिकल्पना निम्नलिखित के लिए की गई है: --
( i ) केन्द्र और राज्य सरकारों को नीतिगत परामर्श प्रदान करने के लिए।
( ii ) कार्यान्वयन एजेंसियों को निर्देशन के लिए ।
( iii) कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन के अनुवीक्षण, इसके प्रभाव के मूल्यांकन और सुधारात्मक उपाय करने के लिए ।
( iv) स्वतंत्र अनुवीक्षण मूल्यांकन एजेंसियों की रिपोर्टों पर कार्यवाई करने के लिए
(v ) संबंधित विभागों , एजेंसियों ( अर्थात् एफसीआई ) तथा योजनाओं के बीच समन्वय और समाभिरूपता लाने के लिए ।
(vi ) सामुदायिक सहायता देने और कार्यक्रम हेतु सार्वजनिक निधि भागीदारी को बढ़ाने के लिए ।
(vii ) प्रशिक्षण, क्षमता निर्माण , अनुवीक्षण और मूल्यांकन तथा राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर कार्यक्रम से जुड़े अनुसंधान को करने के लिए स्वैच्छिक एजेंसियों तथा अन्य उपयुक्त संस्थाओं का पता लगाने के लिए ।
2. दिनांक 27 सितम्बर, 2007 की अधिसूचना संख्या एफ- 5-21/2007- ईई -5 द्वारा गठित राष्ट्रीय जांच एवं अनुवीक्षण समिति को एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित सदस्यों के साथ पुनर्गठित किया जाता है: --
