नई दिल्ली, दिनांक 6 जून 2016
सं. 8-86/2015/एल-II--भारत सरकार ने वर्ष 1958 में संस्कृत, अरबी और फारसी भाषाओं के विद्वानों के सम्मान में सम्मान-प्रमाणपत्र पुरस्कार देने की योजना आरंभ की थी जिसे 1996 में पालि/प्रा—त भाषाओं तक विस्तारित कर दिया गया था। सम्मान प्रमाण-पत्र 60 वर्ष की आयु से ऊपर के उन ख्याति प्राप्त विद्वानों को प्रदान किया जाता है जिनका अपने-अपने क्षेत्र में उत्—श्ट योगदान हो और ये पुरस्कार युवा विद्वानों को भी दिए जाते हैं। ये दोनों पुरस्कार प्रतिवर्ष प्रदान किए जाते हैं।
2. शास्त्रीय भाषाओं को प्रोत्साहन देने के उद्देश्य से वर्ष 2016 से यह योजना शास्त्रीय कन्नड़, शास्त्रीय तेलुगु, शास्त्रीय मलयालम और शास्त्रीय उड़िया तक राष्ट्रपति पुरस्कार प्रदान करने के लिए विस्तारित की गई है।
3. भारत के माननीय राष्ट्रपति द्वारा अलंकरण समारोह में पुरस्कार प्राप्तकर्ताओं को पुरस्कार प्रदान किए जाएंगे।
4. एतद्द्वारा यह अधिसूचित किया जाता है कि सभी पहलुओं को शामिल करते हुए पुरस्कारों के स्पष्ट आधार के पैरामीटर निम्नलिखित हैं :--

| 2. | पुरस्कारों के ब्यौरे और संख्या -शास्त्रीय कन्नड़, शास्त्रीय तेलुगु, शास्त्रीय मलयालम और शास्त्रीय उड़िया के लिए | इन शास्त्रीय भाषाओं में से प्रत्येक में i) भारतीय के लिए जीवन-काल उपलब्धि पुरस्कार ii) जीवन-काल दो अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार (एक भारतीय मूल और एक गैर-भारतीय म ूल के व्यक्तियों के लिए) iii) पांच युवा विद्वान पुरस्कार (30-45 वर्ष के युवाओं के लिए), हैं। अवधि-वार्षिक |

No. 8-86/2015/L-II—Government of India introduced a scheme for the Award of Certificates of Honour in the year 1958 to honour the scholars of Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian Languages and the same was extended to Pali/Prakrit languages in 1996. Certificate of Honour is awarded to scholars of eminence over 60 years of age with outstanding contribution in their respective fields and awards are also given to young scholars. Both these awards are given annually.
2. From the year 2016 onwards, the scheme has been extended to provide Presidential Awards for Classical Kannada, Classical Telugu, Classical Malayalam and Classical Odia with the objective to promote classical languages.
3. Awards will be conferred to the awardees by the Hon'ble President of India in an investiture ceremony.
4. It is hereby notified that the broad based parameters covering all aspects of awards are as follows:
