No. R.S. 36/3/2016/12-Perl.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (j) of Rule 56 of the Fundamental Rules, read with Rule 10 of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1957, the Hon'ble Chairman, Rajya Sabha hereby retires, in the public interest, Shri S. N. Sahu, Joint Secretary, with effect from the afternoon of the 31st day of March, 2017.

2. The Hon'ble Chairman, Rajya Sabha has further directed that Shri S. N. Sahu shall, in lieu of notice of three months, be paid a sum equivalent to the amount of his pay plus allowances for a period of three months calculated at the same rate at which he was drawing them immediately before his retirement.

3. Shri S. N. Sahu, Joint Secretary, accordingly, stands retired from service with effect from the afternoon of 31.03.2017.
