No. U-13019/01/2005-GP—In continuation of the earlier notification dated 04.11.2016 on the subject, the President is pleased to include Shri Kailash Chand Jain, R/o House No. 1356 A, Sector-28 B, Chandigarh in the Advisory Committee associated with the Minister of Home Affairs for the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
2. The Committee shall meet once in a year or as the convenience of the Chair/HM. The office of the member of the Advisory Committee shall be honorary and shall not carry any salary or remuneration.

RESOLUTION
No. F. 3-12/2014-BTI—In supersession of this Ministry's Resolution of even number dated 12th September, 2014, the Central Government hereby frames the Recruitment Rules, for the post of Vice-Chancellor, Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (NNM), Nalanda, Bihar, an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
2. These Rules shall be called "Recruitment Rules for the post of Vice-Chancellor, Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (NNM), Nalanda, Bihar".
3. These Rules shall come into force with immediate effect.
4. It is ordered that the Resolution be published in the Gazette of India for general information.
5. It is also ordered that a copy of the Resolution be communicated to all the Ministries and Department of the Government of India and to all the State Governments and Union Territories.

| by a Search cum Selection Committee. Person of the highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment shall be appointed as Vice-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor to be appointed shall be a distinguished academician with a minimum of ten years of experience as Professor in a University system or ten years of experience in an equivalent position in reputed research and/or academic administrative organization. Desirable Qualification: i. Doctorate Degree in Buddhist Studies/Buddhist Philosophy/Pali from a recognized University. ii. Knowledge and fluency in written and spoken Hindi and English languages. iii. Evidence of outstanding research and published works in national/inter-national journals of repute or as well acknowledged books in the field of Buddhist Studies. I. Upper age limit for applying: Not exceeding 55 years on the closing date of receipt of application. Short Term contract Qualification: As prescribed for deputation Upper age limit for applying: Not exceeding 65 years. Note: i. The Vice Chancellor shall hold office for a term of 5 years. ii. He shall be eligible for a second term provided that in no case shall he hold office beyond the age of seventy years. iii. Notwithstanding the expiry of the period of 5 years, he/she may continue in office for note more than six months or till his/her successor is appointed and the latter assumes office, whichever, is earlier. iv. The Chancellor shall appoint the Vice Chancellor out of a Panel of three names recommended by the Search- cum-Selection Committee. Thereafter the proposal will be sent to ACC for approval. | ||||
| v. The period of deputation including the period of deputation in any other ex- cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 5 years. |
