The Scheme will be operated by the Ministry of Shipping. &#10; 2. The prizes will be awarded under the scheme for every financial Year.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>5.</td> <td>Eligibility for &#10;participation &#10;in the Scheme</td> <td>1. All Indian citizens can participate in this Scheme. &#10;2. Only published book will be considered under this Scheme. Book in manuscript &#10;form will not be accepted. &#10;3. The book must have been published during the last five financial years from the date &#10;of issue of this Scheme. &#10;4. The book must contain minimum 100 pages. &#10;5. The author whose book has been selected for award under this scheme, will be &#10;entitled to retain his copyright on the book. &#10;6. The book submitted earlier under the scheme, will not be accepted. &#10;7. The book once awarded under any other Scheme of the Govt. of India or a State &#10;Govt. or Administration of a U.T. shall not be accepted under this Scheme. &#10;8. The book should be an analytical review on the subject it deals with. Books &#10;written in the form of thesis of Ph.D, Poem, Novel, Story, Play, etc. or textbook &#10;will not be eligible. &#10;9. The author shall be responsible for the facts and data given in the book and must &#10;give references, wherever possible as a proof.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>6.</td> <td>General terms and &#10;conditions</td> <td>1. In case, a book selected for the award, has more than one author, award money shall &#10;be divided equally among them. &#10;2. If during any year, a book is not found suitable for the award, the Award Committee &#10;may decide to withhold the award or to award a suitable amount as a consolation &#10;prize.</td> </tr> <tr> <td></td> <td></td> <td>3. No correspondence will be entertained regarding awarding of prize(s) or &#10;the &#10;procedure regarding the selection of books for the award. &#10;4. Three experts will be nominated for evaluation of the books. &#10;2. Each book will be evaluated by three experts and they will submit their review to &#10;the ministry on the respective book. &#10;3. Books will be submitted to the Awards Committee along with the review of the &#10;experts.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>8.</td> <td>Honorarium</td> <td>Each evaluator will be given an honorarium of Rs 5000/- &#10;for &#10;the evaluation &#10;work.(Even if entries are more than one)</td> </tr> <tr> <td>9.</td> <td>Award Committee</td> <td>1. Secretary, Shipping will be the Chairman of the Award Committee. &#10; 2&#10;. Officers of the rank of Joint Secretary/Director will be the members of this &#10;committee and Joint Director (OL) will be the Member Secretary. &#10; 3&#10;. &#10;If any member of &#10;the Evaluation Committee/Award Committee wishes &#10;to &#10;participate in this Award Scheme, he/she will not be the member of Evaluation &#10;Committee/Award Committee for that year. &#10; &#10;4.
