No.21/3788/2016-PME—In pursuance of Department of Personnel & Training's Order No. 5/8/2013-CS.I(U) dated 04.02.2020 and in continuation of this Office's Notification No. A.22012/1/2018-PME(Pt.3) dated 01.05.2019, the appointment of Shri Pradeep Kumar Srivastava, previously Section Officer (CSL No. 10127) of the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) to the Grade-I (Under Secretary) of CSS in the Pay Matrix Level – 11 on 'ad-hoc' promotion basis in the Prime Minister's Office is further extended by a period of one year beyond 30.06.2019 i.e. upto 30.06.2020 or till the post is filled up on regular basis, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

2. The continuation of the ad-hoc promotion shall not confer any right to continue in the grade indefinitely or for inclusion in the Select List for regular appointment or to claim seniority in the Grade-I (Under Secretary) of the CSS and the Service rendered on ad-hoc basis in the Grade-I (Under Secretary) would not count for the purpose of seniority in that grade or for promotion to the next higher grade. This ad-hoc appointment may be terminated at any point of time without giving any reason thereof.

3. The above continuation of the ad-hoc promotion shall be subject to the final outcome of the SLP(C) No.30621/2011 (Jarnail Singh & Ors. Vs. Lachhmi Narain Gupta & Ars.), the SLP(C) No.31288/2017, the SLP (C) Nos.5724-5725/2019 and any other court case in connected matter. The continuation of the ad-hoc promotion beyond 30.06.2019 is subject to the conditions as mentioned in DoP&T's orders in this matter.
